It doesn't get much better than that. While I don't necessarily think this match entered great territory, there were certainly great moments that set the stage for what we would eventually see. Tomohiro Ishii clearing the ring was legitimately awesome. Hiroshi Tanahashi getting a head start on working over Kazuchika Okada's knee also fit the bell. Okada's dropkick to break up Katsuyori Shibata's Sleeper Hold is engrained in my mind. And Shibata was clearly the crowd favorite, which greatly enhanced when he started laying heavy shots into Ishii and Okada alike. A 4-star tag team match, 8 out of 10. |
