[8.0] "[3.75*] I loved this match, I still do, awesome stuff from both guys.. really liked their performances here, the punches, the payoff, the psychology was just as good as it can gets. Just tremendous pro wrestling here."
[8.0] "Nice beard Don, you look both fatter and older. Roddy goes for the attack right away and at one point even throws a dropkick, it looks awful but there it is; Roddy Piper throwing a dropkick. Don has nothing to answer for any of this. To quote Alfred Hayes: "Muraco has just made mistake after mistake". The Magnificent One finally swings things his way after the referee stops Roddy from yet another closed fist. Gorilla remarks that the match has turned 360 degrees, er no Gorilla, 180 is what you're looking for. Posting = bleeding, Don Muraco's strutting. Roddy comes back in the ring now more savage in his attacks, Muraco is opened as well. Not long after Piper outsmarts Fuji & Muraco for the win. Crazy, fun, very short but quite explosive. 7.75"
[6.0] "Solid midcard antics from a relatively newly turned babyface Roddy Piper. He goes at Muraco 100mph here. The opening shine sees him batter Muraco from pillar to post. Both guys bleed, many punches are swung for, and Piper sneaks the win with a roll up. I love how he still cheats, still argues with the referee, and the crowd love him for it. He turned face because everyone loved him so much, not because he became such a goody two shoes."
[7.0] "Piper tees off on Muraco to start the match in a sub-feud of the Piper-Adonis feud. PIper was at his best during this year, imo, with no disrespect for 1985 Piper. when he was outstanding. But fired up babyface Piper was excellent. This match wasn't bad. Piper got a little juice after his head is rammed into the steel post and Fuji hits him with his cane and then gets Muraco busted open as well. About as good as you're going to get in 7 minutes."
