[4.0] "There are no issues with the execution of the moves, but it was very boring, slow, and repetitive. Joe and Nakamura are capable of delivering a much more intense match. Maybe they just didn't want to put in the effort to deliver a great match in Japan."
[6.0] "Not as good as their other match in NXT and didn't provide enough for me to give it higher than a 6. There was nothing wrong with it particularly, but it didn't really reach out of third gear to deliver anything outstanding. Especially when you know what these two can produce."
[7.0] "This was a pretty good match. It was nice that while in NXT, we got to see Shinsuke Nakamura wrestle in front of a Japanese crowd for the NXT Championship. Samoa Joe had reinvigorated his career after his TNA run ended, and proved it by having great matches and title runs in NXT. However, this match did not reach the quality of their previous Takeover encounters, and I think a large part of that is how slow the match could be at times. Not that the in ring work was bad, but there were moments where I wished they would have sped things up. There was a moment right before the finish where it looked like Nakamura was going for Landslide, but he just fell while Joe was on his shoulders. That had to be a botch, because it didn't lead to anything, and they went right for the finish. With that being said, this was still entertaining, and a cool moment for Nakamura to win the title in Japan. ***3/4"
[4.0] "This one really rubbed me the wrong way. This felt like the exact same match from Brooklyn and Toronto, just done again in Japan. Im getting really bored of this Joe Vs. Nakamura feud because its clear these two just dont work well together. I guess it wasnt bad, but I dont really care. It felt like I had watched a match Ive seen 50 times and I zoned out at the three quarter mark. Hopefully the next bout between these two is at least unique."
[7.0] "A solid match, but they did a better work not only at NXT TakeOver: Toronto, but also at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II. I don't appreciate so much the fact that they changed the title each other for three times (Brookylin, Toronto and Osaka). (7/10)"
[7.0] "A good match in front of the home crowd, which was crowned with success for Shinsuke Nakamura. The tough style from both was present in the match, but it was done slowly in places, which sagged the narrative of the line. Nevertheless, it was a strong main event and the victory was given away for the sake of a home moment."
[7.0] "This whole bouncing title thing with Joe and Nakamura wasn't my favorite, this match is probably their worst title match they have, solid, but I think they have done better before"
[7.0] "This was that time when NXT would have title changes on house shows. I recall this title change being shown on the NXT weekly show before they even aired this special. Joe and Nakamuras chemistry wasnt anything special. But seeing NXT with a japanese crowd was a neat sight."
