Dexter Lumis might not have been needed, but on the other hand he finally gets a reaction from the audience. It's all been worse, but of course it's also been much better."
[9.0] "Great womens ladder match on NXT. All the women in this match got a chance to shine. There was a lot of good spots. Really good way to start off a PLE."

[6.0] "A pretty average match that had a couple goofy looking spots but some really great looking bumps as well. The MVP of this match had to be Tiffany Stratton just based off the nasty bump she took at the finish but also my personal favorite bump of the match which was the Spinebuster she takes onto the ladder from Indi. Nothing special in terms of a ladder match but the fans seemed to enjoy the outcome. 3 stars at best"
[6.0] "A mid ladder atch. This had all the usual and way too used spots of the ladder match (the Terry Funk turn with the ladder on the shoulder, the two wrestlers that collide with ladders in their hands ...) that were not always well made. They're was also some big cool bumps (Lyra falling through the top of the ladder, Jacy Jayne taking out Gigi). I have mixed feeling about the finish : yes, it's cool to see Indi have a big moment with Dexter Lumis, but I don't like a women (especially a face) winning a women's title thanks to a man... 6/10."
[5.0] "Its almost neglectful booking a ladder match with such a green group of wrestlers. On the whole they kept the match together but the botches stuck out like a sore thumb and had me wincing as though something may go drastically wrong. Worth a look if you are not suffering ladder fatigue and don't mind blatant interference, otherwise it's an easy skip **3/4"
[8.0] "I really liked this match. Was it perfect? No, but everyone worked really hard and put the effort to make it a strong showcase of the NXT women's division. Everyone got their time to shine, and the crowd was really supportive during the match. The likes of Lyra and Zoey really stood out, Lyra especially with all the bumps she took. Poor Tiffany took the worst bumps, from a sick spinebuster on the ladder, and her bring pushed from the ladder to the outside onto three wrestlers who hadn't really catched her, which was scary. The reunion of InDex was cool and I'm really happy gor Indi, I just don't understand why Roxanne remained the champion if she would lose it here. Regardless, a very good showcase for the women's division. ***3/4"
[7.0] "A great way to open the show, a couple of botches and sloppy moves but everyone was able to adapt. It's been a while since I last watched Nxt and this is a good way to come back"
[5.0] "this match was pretty good but not amazing, some spots are messy yet others are done to perfection, winner was a little out of nowhere with what felt like no build to her winning but i still enjoyed it, middle of the road match to me."
[9.0] "This ladder match was a very pleasant surprise, infinitely better than expected. I wasn't expecting a bad match, I was expecting something honest, but this ladder match was really great. The girls put a lot of effort into it, there are so many memorable spots and Indi Hartwell's victory thanks to Dexter Lumis made me very happy (only I noticed a similarity between what Lumis did and what Rhino did in the TLC of WrestleMania 17? ). Really a great ladder match, congratulations to all the participants"

[8.0] "Overwrought with a group of performers a bit too green to pull off what they were aiming for, but major points for ambition and originality. Gigi Dolin seems like a standout."
[5.0] "This was standard multi-person ladder match fare with a horrible result. There wasn't anything out of the ordinary in this done to death stipulation that I'd very much like to be put on extended hiatus. Valkyrie was the standout performer, with her one blemish being a spot I'll get to shortly. Poor Tiffany Stratton took the two worst bumps, the first being an overcooked spinebuster from Hartwell that Stratton took to the small of the back right on the edge of the ladder and the second being a fall off a ladder to the outside where 3 women, including Valkyrie, decided not to catch her, so she went crashing straight to the floor back first. This match also featured the commentary line of the night from Vic Joseph "The NXT universe are on their feet" he said as every fan on screen was sat firmly in their seat. I'm also curious to know why the bald ref dismantled the ladder bridge. Even putting aside my disdain for the result, the finish sucked...Hartwell, despite her character coming across like a complete bitch, I'm pretty sure is supposed to be a babyface, a babyface who's apparently so weak and useless she could only win by being carried up the ladder by her serial killer, sex pest husband. Ultimately, this wasn't good, but the performance of Valkyrie and the risks taken, especially by Stratton, elevate the score, but it will be a match quickly forgotten."
[4.0] "There was some really bad looking spots through out this match. Gigi Dollens slow motion ladder airplane spin spot where she some how managed to fall over. Tiffany Stratton and Gigi had an awkward looking exchange not long after that with Tifany struggling to get Dollin into a firemens carry position. Poor Tiffany also took a horrible bump from the ladder to the floor were three women failed to catch her."

"I personally thought this was quite a good match. Ladder matches can typically be hard as theres a lot that has already been done. However in this match there were a few things that made it unique to the parties involved. The shock win of Indy as well made this that much better. Im happy shes finally getting her moment. Everyone else in the match is sure to be a future champion. Roxanne Perez is going to be a huge star in the future cam already see her Winning a royal rumble in the next 3 years. Plus shes always got a built in feud with Cora Jade"
[7.0] "I thought this could be a trainwreck but it ended up being a good ladder match. The build to this match was dumb. It was good action. Ladder matches are so overdone, three major ones alone this Wrestlemania weekend. This was better than the GCW DLC match from the night before. Some might not like the ending, I've seen much worse from NXT and it was a nice callback for them so it was fine."
[6.0] "A bit of a mixed bag. Most if the participants did well considering they are either green or in some cases just not very good. I thought Roxanne actually had a really good showing. I appreciated how fast she was climbing the ladder - she really made it feel like she was actually trying to win. I also thought the spot where she was hanging off Zoey's leg with her full body weight was great. As for the downsides, some spots were a but rough around the edges. It was especially concerning when three women completely failed to catch Stratton. I was also very unsatisfied with the finish (although expected the winner based on the most recent episode of NXT) and thought it was a poor conclusion to Roxanne's story heading in to the show and did not fit the build."
[4.0] "I guess everything you need to know about this match is that Stark, Perez and Valkyria decided to just not catch Tiffany Stratton when Hartwell pushed her off of a ladder. Other than that it was 'they just do random shit' match where nobody really stood out (I guess Stratton did because she has great self-confidence, but even she didn't do anything really impressive). Dexter Lumis showing up to help Hartwell win is embodiment of NXT 2.0 imo."
[7.0] "Recipe for multi-person Ladder Matches is more or less known at this point. This one doesn't innovate or offer something fresh, however it does a decent job at recreating said recipe with good choreographies and exciting spots, mainly involving 2 superstars at a time."
[8.0] "That's how you create a fiery starter not only for the event, but also for the weekend of WrestleMania. All women were excellent for the time given which led to a fact that it could be anyone's game if the title is dropping from Roxanne here. But after seeing her return on TV last week, I was super confident that she'll retain the title since this kind of a marquee match was missing in her reign. She showed herself out really good which didn't flinch my confidence down. However, Indi winning the primary women's title wasn't on my bucket list and I'm genuinely happy for her! She's been with the brand for a very long time despite facing the voices of fans who wanted her to move up and do the better including me, but the biggest vision was put together by the NXT creative which led to this amazing finish catered by Dexter as part of the InDex angle. Super excited to see how's Indi is going to serve as the champ. 4 out of 5 stars!"
[5.0] "Valkyria was impressive, so was roxanne. Tifanny did her thing too. Inexplicable ending, with no one catching tiffany and then the worst wrestler in the match winning. Zoey was pretty bad too. Carried by the 3 I mentioned. **3/4"
[3.0] "A very sloppy, awkward and boring ass ladder match with one competitor almost dying and the worst women's wrestler in the entire company winning the championship. O God what a mess of a match this was."
[8.0] "All 6 ladies were great. Tiffany Stratton comsidering shes the newest to the business was awesome. Her dive to the floor was scary though. I loved the finish with InDex. Very good opener."
[6.0] "I'm tired of multi-person ladder matches, so maybe this was better and I'm just hating, but I thought this was just good. There are some solid to good spots that we've seen over 1000x times in a ladder match, the only true noteworthy spot was the one spot where they didn't catch poor Stratton when she landed on the outside. The ending is probably better if I was into the whole storyline.***1/4"

Not quite at the level of last year's Multi-Man Ladder Match for the North American Title, but all of the women in this match did pretty good. Wasn't expecting Indi to actually win the title, but I'm very glad to see her get a big win like this."

[7.0] "Das war ein gut gewählter Opener wie ich finde und auch echt spannend gemacht, da mehrere kurz vorm Sieg standen und am Ende ist es dann quasi der Triumph für Index, weil Dexter Lumis zum Sieg verhilft. Ich fand das Match mehr als anständig und halte 7 Punkte für angemessen."

[4.0] "Sorry, but what Indi did in this match? I don't remember her. Even Roxy made more than her. Lyra is a great seller, I'm glad for her. Tiffany is also great worker, but the spot where FOUR wrestlers couldn't catch her, is absolutely horrible. Hope, Stratton is okay. Winner is atrocious, I can't understand, why the title was given to one of the weakest (as a personality) wrestler in NXT."
[5.0] "Honestly I thought this was mediocre. When Zoey and Lyra did her spots it was great, but everyone else looked... well, green. Stratton died when nobdy catched her on the swanton to the outside and Indi winning after 2 years of bad performances is hilarious."
[8.0] "Really good opener. All six ladies did great, some cool spots (Tiffanny's fall looked painful, I hope she's alright after that). Unexpected result that I didn't understand at first, but then the reunion of The Way was worth it."
[6.0] "This match was... fine I guess. You could tell most of the women in this match weren't ready for the ladder stipulation, which led to a very scary bump at the end for Tiffany where three people failed to catch her. While Indi wasn't my first, second, or even third choice to win, good for her for winning. Lyra has a lot of upside and this match showed it."
[4.0] "A really sloppy match with too much time focused on finding the hard cam before climbing excruciating slow up the ladder. Ending was pretty solid."
[5.0] "The wrestlers of NXT are not ready for such a stipulation gaps have clearly been seen in some. Gigi Dolin was catastrophic. Indis victory, why do. There are two projects to build in NXT it is Lyra Valkyria as a babyface and Tiffany Straton as a top heel. Not at the level."
[8.0] "Fun ladder match. Good action throughout, though it got a little too slow whenever somebody had to climb the ladder. Everybody seemed to have at least a couple moments to shine. Tiffany took some nasty bumps, her lower back hitting the edge of a ladder from a spinebuster, then later falling from a ladder in the ring to the floor and somehow nobody caught her. Indi surprisingly won after assistance from Dexter Lumis, which was a fun moment and good way to finish the match with some excitement. 8/10"

[8.0] "This match was a lot of chaos going on throughout the match. I haven't watched this how in a while. so I have no idea who any of these women are, but it was a decent match. I think Tiffany Stratton and Indi Hartwell are future stars and didn't really want Lyra to win anything. Jacy Jayne made a return to keep Gigi from winning. Good match, but lacking heat."
[8.0] "This started off slightly messy but once they got going this was a very solid ladder match, Indi Hartwell winning with the help of Dexter Lumis was a super nice surprise definitely was expecting Roxanne to retain or Tiffany Stratton to win the title. Roxanne's definitely going to the main roster now."
[8.0] "Fun opening match, Roxanne fought hard to continously make her way onto the ladder and try to retain. She looked great agaisnt everyone. All the women looked solid here and Tiffany took a nasty bump. Loved the finish."

Given the fact that there was a multi person ladder match on yesterday's ROH show there was a chance for some fatigue with this one, but all of the women worked hard and the result was pretty damn good. There weren't any insane spots that we've never seen before, but everything they did worked. Tiffany was phenomenal in this match, and her dive to the outside from the ladder was probably the biggest highlight (someone could've tried catching her though). Lyra Valkyria and Zoey Stark both also did great work, and both should come out of this match in a better spot (Lyra in NXT and Zoey hopefully on the main roster). Indi being the winner was a big surprise, and I can't say I'm a fan of her being the champ in a division with so much more other talent, but the finish with Dexter Lumis was very well done. Roxanne not winning this match is a bit puzzling, and really makes you question everything regarding her story in the last month, but maybe it was a convoluted way to get the title off of her without looking weak, leading up to an early call-up for her. Very good opener (***3/4)"

[7.0] "At least there wasn't a massive injury in this one, unless Tiffany Stratton broke her back. Cute end tying up the InDex storyline to give Indi Hartwell the title. I presume Roxanne Perez is on her way to the main roster now."
[8.0] "Very good Ladder match between all these women to start the show on a positive note, I don't like Hartwell so I didn't want this result, especially since Stratton was built for this moment but the moment with Dexter was so well done that it didn't spoil the party. A match with good spots, everyone performing well and a good atmosphere in the arena, definitely a quality opener."
