Less is more, and this is absolutely true in relation to this match, where an arrogant, young boy wants more from Higuchi than his body can withstand, and a story is built around this. Kazusada is having fun, he is interested in working with this guy, and the character of the opponent makes him treat him lightly. I like the ways in which Charlie ensures his survival and even comes closer to victory than one might expect, but in the end, Higuchi puts him in his place, and, most beautiful of all, the guy dies staying on his wave. I'm not surprised that Higuchi expressed respect after the match. A wonderful story (****1/4)."
[7.0] "What a dynamic with the giant man Higuchi vs. the little man Starboy. Is Starboy this generations Little Spike Dudley? I think so. He was impressive here and ate all those chops that Higuchi was dishing out. His chest was a disaster and he still was taking more. I like Higuchi's finisher too. Good Big vs. Small contest!"
[7.0] "Probably the best Starboy Charlie singles match I've seen (although he does get a bit too much offense) which is mostly due to Higuchi excellent brick wall performance but credit to Charlie for hanging in the pocket and taking Higuchi's offense."
[8.0] "I love big man vs small man matches. Higuchi beat the hell out of Starboy and destroyed his chest, but he also gave Starboy a lot. Really great fire from Starboy, he even hit a powerbomb. Good match and worth checking out."
[8.0] "Poor Starboy Charlie had Higuchi's purple hand print tattooed on his chest by the end. He had some great comebacks with his dives and flying, but Higuchi was just too gigantic and inevitable for him to overcome. And keep the suspenders up next time, Charlie!"
[6.0] "Higuchi hat hier Charlie dominiert und der hat zwar Herz gezeigt aber am Ende dann doch gewonnen und in seiner Einfachheit war dieses Match schon anständig wie ich finde, sodass ich 6 Punkte für angemessen halte."
[7.0] "Man Higuchi really beat the piss out of Starboy Charlie in this match. Starboy showed real heart and Higuchi seemed to get a kick out of beating the dmallee guy. Match was entertaining and a good David vs Goliath story."
