Some of them were great but in the end the only thing that stays in mind is that Roddy took an eternity to remove the top rope only to use it once. |

O'Reilly turned in a great performance as the battered hero, fighting against the odds to defend his honour and title one last time. All the while, Roddy is going full villain mode; he takes cheap shots, he flips off the crowd, he's ruthless in control and desperate fighting from underneath. Strong, now a desperate man who cared not for the opinion of anyone else but simply about being the top dog, did exactly what he set out to do, and did whatever it took to get it, setting the tone massively for the reign to come. O'Reilly, the popular champion, fought until the very end and had pretty much the perfect send-off match; he looked like a beast, he never gave up and the crowd were 100% behind him all the way. Also really refreshing to see a match with this much story and hatred on a PWG card at a time when PWG was very much in their dream match mania phase. Fantastic introduction to one of the greatest reigns of all time. ****1/2 |

The two had a very very brutal match, and it launched Roddy into conversation as one of the best in the world around the time as well. Props to KO? R for wrestling two 20+ minute matches back to back as well. This was incredible. ****1/2 |

It was brutal and violent, there was a ton of spot in this match like the superplex on a table, Roddy broke the top of the ring ropes to strangle KOR with, severals spots made by these two were on chairs like two brainbusters by KOR, an ex-plex on chairs, the excellent strike exchanges during the match and the amazing comebacks of KOR, KOR even used a chain to strangle Roddy. Roddy played an excellent heel opportunist because some fans were singing "Fuck you Roddy" and a fan wanted to touch him. That was beautiful violence from the start to the end. The reaction to this impromptu main event was nothing short of phenomenal. the atmosphere resemble the conclusion of Eight, but with an actual main event match. More precisely, a main event full-fledged war, as the rage and sadism of Roderick help this even surpass the much acclaimed Steen/Cole Guerilla Warfare. This is a methodic and chaotic visceral war that has to be seen. |
