[6.0] "A heartfelt sendoff to Takeshita as he goes on to greener pastures. Takagi had his working boots on and took some big bumps. This match worked because Takeshita got to hit his signature strikes and power moves. If Takagi was against a lesser opponent I'd probably sour on it. Lot of finisher spam but it was well done because of the context of the match and story. ***"
[5.0] "I'm to the point where I can't stand Takagi matches. They feel entirely self indulgent. He booked himself to wrestle the best guy on the card. And then he worked it around his shitty stunner. Takeshita helped keep this match tolerable, but he could have been doing such better stuff."
[10.0] "It was unexpectedly great. I didn't know that Sanshiro can do THIS in his age, it was more than impressive from him. That table spot was just a madness, Takagi's dedication here knew no bounds. It was a match of father and son, and father should let his son go his way, and emotions they showed in this match spoke clearer than any words. Noselling of stunners was amazing, Takeshita didn't want to fall, because it could be the end for him, and Sanshiro was losing strength after every stunner. And it was the moment fot him to lose, he understood this, but decided not to lose so easily, and that final reverse from Takagi was wonderful and shocking. He couldn't get up, this move left him with the last of his strength, but the last word in the match still remained with him. Sanshiro lost, but with pride, showing his wrestling son that he was still strong. Great storytelling."
[7.0] "Solid match that told a good story. Takeshita looked awesome in this one and showed DDT he's on the next level. The finish was done really well. Tskeshita no selling a stunner is fine but 8 might be a bit much."
[10.0] "A phenomenal match and by a wide margin the best match on the show. Their story was perfectly complemented by a promo video, but it was clear from the match that Takeshita was a son who surpassed his father, and Sanshiro went through a lot, trying to impose competition and defend the honor of DDT in front of a newly formed foreigner. Konosuke, who doesn't sell a stunner from time to time, was amazing, and I'm glad that after that they found a way to extend the match, show some stunning spots, and only then finish it all. The ending is brilliant. Takagi is great for his age, I'm shocked by his strength and mobility, and I really don't mind that he once lifted the KO-D belt over his head (****3/4)."
[9.0] "I had my doubts about this going in, but they absolutely put on a show here, and Takagi was wrestling as if this was his retirement match. Emotional, hard hitting and structurally sound."
[8.0] "I wasnt expecting THAT finish, kind of brought the match down for me, but otherwise, this was fucking great, Konosuke and Sanshiro just bringing out nonstop chaos and fun."
[7.0] "I really enjoyed the match despite the already mentioned recurrence of finisher teases throughout the second half of the match. The table spot was gnarly. Takagi is a proven vet and I enjoy him sharing this anniversary match with Takeshita. This makes me want Takeshita to come back full-time and just fucking crush it."
[6.0] "Nice and heartfelt match, but by the end, the reliance on finisher chains was... a lot. Some really amazing spots, and a really sweet postmatch, but I didn't need to see double digit finishers for this to still be a success. Mad props to Takagi for the work he put in, and it was great to see Takeshita back home, even if the angle here is him being much more driven to succeed in the States. 6 for me."
[6.0] "6.5 - Crazy match, felt like a real sendoff for Konosuke. Takagi took ridiculous power moves, including a superlex, a blue thunder bomb, and a delayed German. Oh, and a delayed suplex off the apron through a table. Mad respect for Takagi. His stunner spamming went on too long."
