1101.03.2025xitachi7.0Good match. I'm probably not as high on the match as other people because I'm pretty new to stardom (I watched a few shows in the past but that's it) so I imagine if I knew them better I would've enjoyed the match more. Still, it's easily better than most women's matches I've seen. *** 3/4

2609.08.2024Kyle from TheMatchGuide8.0As I've begun to dig into Stardom a bit, I quickly identified this as a match I should go back and watch. And in the context of my 2023 MOTY list, this slipped through the cracks, Easily a top 5, probably top 3 women's match of the year from 2023. Everything looked seamless and snappy and had brutality that didn't feel forced like other Stardom matches I've seen. Sure, it's the same formulaic bomb fest, but even bad formulas have good matches. 4.25 Stars.

3119.04.2024AZDOM10.0What does it mean to fight? What is "will? " What is "spirit? " You could probably find the answer to that in this match. Even now, I struggle to put into words just how incredible this match was. Hazuki... Saya Kamitani... two extremely talented wrestlers who on this day... for a rough 23 minutes... ascended to a level that many cannot even DREAM of reaching. They brought out the absolute best in each other. Their chemistry was perfect, their spots were flawless, their offense looked better than ever, their energy engulfed the entire gym that day. Their passion enveloped each person who would bear witness to this glorious match. Hazuki's "I'm not going to lose" ferocity clashing with Saya's "I will not be beaten" vigor made for a match that i will never forget for the rest of my days. Hazuki laying in her attacks in bunches, desperately trying to put Saya away, desperately trying to obtain the championship that she was willing to DIE for. And there were many times where she came close. But so did all the others. And they all failed just the same because this wasn't just any champion, it was the Golden Phoenix; someone who has snatched victory away from her opponents in the most unlikely, awe inspiring ways. Yet, within the context of this bout... Hazuki made the people BELIEVE. You could tell through all those excellent near falls that her supporters had genuine faith that she could finally be the one to clip the wings of the Golden Phoenix. And THAT, is the magic of this match. The thunderous roars, the ferocious screams, the pure rage of the Wild Heart took this match to the next level. You could FEEL... really fucking FEEL the intensity that she was bringing throughout all of this. And that in turn elevated Saya to the point where she was forced to surpass all of her past remarkable performances. And THIS forced Hazuki to step up her game once again. And it just went on and on and on and on. This continuous back and forth action and exchange of emotion allowed these two to operate at an insanely high clip, where they took the versions of this match that people had imagined in their heads and gave them an even BETTER version; a version that served as a beautiful representation of what makes this sport so uniquely special. If two NBA players on opposing teams dropped 90 pts in the same game, they will likely never replicate that again for the rest of their careers... but on that lone night they DID. That is what this match felt like. That is something so magnificent that it just cannot be understated, yet also cannot be properly described. No matter how much I waffle on I will not be able to do this match enough justice because this isn't a match that can be explained through words, but something that must be felt with the soul. Saya Kamitani expressed after the match, "Hazuki... you put your life on the line for this title, so I was able to fight with a lot of passion." I couldn't have said it any better. And if two people evoking such feelings within one another, driving each other to greater heights, isn't wrestling... then I don't know what is.

3520.03.2024bIackdesire10.0This was my personal MOTY for STARDOM. These two women have amazing chemistry and they went all out in this match. There was never a dull moment where I lost interest, the sequences where on point especially the back and forth pump kicks between Hazuki & Kamitani. The crowd was absolutely hyped and was very behind Hazuki. The brainbuster near fall had me fooled because I honestly though Kamitani's reign had ended. This was both Hazuki's & Kamitani's best performance so far and they both have bright futures ahead of them. A must-watch match, recommended for new fans! *****

5219.11.2023Neko Junia10.0One of my matches of the year. Incredible passion, action and energy with edge of your seat near falls. Helped immensely by both Kamitani & Hazuki being big fan favorites and the crowd going crazy. Hazuki should get the white belt in 2024, if you don't believe me, just listen to the crowd chanting for her.

5717.10.2023Itsover9000man9.0This match was really good. Saya's finally starting to click for me, she's really good with the right opponent, hazuki was amazing here hitting some very good moves like the flawless codebreaker from the top rope, her nose bled a little early on in the match which helped sell the intensity of the match. the story of this match was hazuki putting everything into trying to win kicking out of multiple big moves but just not having enough to win. Saya eventually won after hitting 2 Star Crushers. Fantastic match. Rating: ****3/4

6321.09.2023Kyledixon9.0Superb title match full of drama and incredible twists. They did a really great job of portraying both ladies as equal warriors at the top of their games and it made for this titan v titan feel which you want from big title matches. Hazuki had an answer for everything at the start but Saya weathered the storm like top champions do. From there, it become about who could hit hardest in a lot of ways. This match has two of the best near falls you are likely to see this year. The first saw Hazuki hit her Brainbuster finish at what felt like a natural winning moment for the challenger but at the last second, Saya dragged her shoulder off the mat. The second near fall is drastically different. Saya has full control and hits a 450 splash and Hazuki limply shuffles out of the pin before three - barely surviving. Saya, like a good champion should, is like a shark to blood and puts the challenger away with two Star Crushers. Terrific title match tussling. ****1/4
6401.09.2023CFOS8.0That was great man ! Hazuki was pretty awesome by being pretty agressive overall with many brutal strikes and moves. Saya was also very interesting and matched the intensity of Hazuki. There was also a ton of great near falls toward the end. A very good surprise. ****

9201.05.2023boymeetsworld10.0This match had a pretty similar story compared to their 5 Star Grand Prix 2021 match, the only difference here is that Hazuki had one of the best individual performances in the history of STARDOM, while Kamitani was good enough to keep up and had a couple of good bursts of energy/GIF sequences. These days so many wrestlers in STARDOM are either kinda going through the motions or fail to have great performances when situation calls for it, which exposes their low ceiling and lowers potential/interest in the promotion overall, which is why I find this Hazuki's performance so important in valuable - she has pride in her tremendous in-ring ability that is easy to notice even on regular shows, and when she jumps over her head it's really something special. Performances like one she had in this match over the years helped create reputation for STARDOM as the promotion to watch, she was on another level every step of the way, carried Kamitani by the ears to her best match ever and made classic KAMITANIWINSLOL only funnier. I don't believe that Hazuki will ever get a proper run at the top anymore, but carry jobs in title matches like this is an anomaly to STARDOM. There's first time for everything, so in that way, I would say that this was one of the best Wonder of STARDOM title matches ever, because it was the best carry-job to date. ****1/2

9714.04.2023Seosi10.0Incredible match, the last moments of the match were outstanding. Great, believable nearfalls and selling by both. Definitely a star making performance by Hazuki, who became the fan favourite. I'm seeing on this website here and there criticisms towards Saya's work, but I can't say I'm sharing those same criticisms , I'm always impressed by her work, very unique wrestler in terms of move-set. I didn't expected for this match being that hard hitting, but it sure was. Great performance by both, must watch to any wrestling fan. ****1/2
