Bubba Ray Dudley & D-Von Dudley vs. Perry Saturn & Sgt. Slaughter

[5.0] "Maybe I'm overrating this, but I had fun watching this match. This was a return to Madison Square Garden for Sgt. Slaughter, who ended up on the bad side of the Dudley Boyz after he called them out backstage for losing the WWF Tag Team Championship to Tazz and Spike Dudley. He would find a partner in Perry Saturn, who had been relegated to Sunday Night Heat at this point in his career. Even though it was mentioned, Saturn legitimately was an Army Airborne Ranger, so it made sense that he would be Slaughter's partner. The work from an in ring standpoint was as basic as it gets, but that's not why people watched it. They wanted to see Slaughter come back in MSG, where of the 4 men, he was easily the most over. The finish was a cheap DQ finish, but it doesn't really matter. The Dudleys tried to use Slaughter's belt as a weapon, but Slaughter turned it around on them and used his own belt as a weapon against them, causing the disqualification. He then used the belt to give Stacy Keibler a spanking. **1/2"

[4.0] "A very fine Dudley's match. The match was more of the story of being back in Madison Square Garden and the fans still showing love for Slaughter. Dudleys do their classic tricks (Bubba with the second rope senton miss, the wassup, etc.) but at the end of the day they still show disrespect to the Sergent. They remove his belt to try and whip him but Slaughter avoids it hits them with a double clothesline and then whips the Dudleys for a DQ loss but to send the crowd home happy. **"

[6.0] "Sgt. Slaughter makes a rare return to the ring on a C-show. Sarge is rather limited in what he can do physically by 2002, but he is over with this crowd, who are happy to just see him. The only bump he takes here is when he suplexes D'von and looks like he almost gives himself a hernia. Post-Moppy Saturn was lost in the shuffle once the Invasion storyline wrapped up, so they sent him out in camo pants to team with Sarge and to take the majority of the punishment. Bubba taunts Sarge by impersonating him, before missing a seaton splash from the middle rope. Sarge is tagged in and cleans house and locks on the Cobra Clutch. This move was still over by 2002, as Sarge sent the crowd into a frenzy once he locks in it. It doesn't get the job done and the match is thrown out once Sarge removes his belt and starts whipping the Dudleyz, and giving Stacy a slap on the ass for good measure. This is fun for what it was."
