[2.0] "It made no sense of jobber Jinder Mahal getting title shots, especially at ones that are as major as the NXT Title, the match itself was just boring and dull and this would disappointingly be Bron Breakker's last successful defence as NXT Champion beofre dropping it to Carmelo Hayes at NXT Stand and Deliver (2023)."

[6.0] "Another solid NXT match but lacked the pacing of the tag match. The work was just kind of there but the story is strong on this one. Jinder knows the fans are turning on Bron but the champ is in complete denial and Mahal could take advantage to win the title. He doesn't but its a nice story. Good finish too as Bron counters the Khallas with a hiplock and slams him with a spear to retain. AND STILL. **3/4"

[5.0] "Jinder isn't a tough challenger for any form of singles championship in my view unless he develops his skillset. Of course, he displays a decent level of action but the bottom line is Bron went too far to defeat him when it's too easy to do. He could've slaughtered him in a matter of seconds, but he doesn't decide how to move his match forward. I felt zero heat or a sense of change in the bout, thanks to Jinder's stale tricks. 2.25 out of 5 stars!"

It wasn't exactly scintillating television but I didn't see anything to take issue with - in fact I'd say it was pretty decent. Bron showed good strength, athleticism, and explosivity. Jinder was a fairly ordinary heel, but he was fine. He didn't even get the chance to make things boring since he never really had any sustained period of offence. I don't see why some people seemed to take exception to what seemed to be a solid enough match to me."

Finish wasnt my favorite it felt off, Jinder had moments like his knee strike where he seemed fine and other moments where he seemed sloppy."

[2.0] "I just want NXT to get to Melo vs Bron, no one wanted to see this match, and I have to say how embarrassing is that Bron has been wrestling for 2 years or so and he is better than 20 year "veteran" in Jinder"

[4.0] "This recent run of defenses for Bron has really worked against him compared to his 2022. Two matches with Grayson with gimmicks that worked against him and then a defense against one of the most mundane champions WWE has had. Jinder has a lot of positives but most of those stop between both bells. They did have some nice strike exchanges and Brons explosiveness was on display but there had to have been a better main roster option than Jinder to give Bron a win against for a former champion. The way some of the crowd is toward him is very bizarre to me as he has fun matches usually and has only grown as a character. Fickle fans will be fickle though."

I find both guys to be extremely boring and the result was absolutely nailed on, so there was no reason to care to begin with and while the wrestling was acceptable, it certainly didn't do anything to raise my investment. Also during the match, the Creeds returned and attacked Indus Sher, so I guess that dragging feud is continuing."
