Gail Kim vs. Velvet Sky

[6.0] "This seemed more designed to start a feud between Gail Kim and referee Taryn Terrell, but when that wasn't the focus the match was pretty good. If the ref hijinks were removed this would've been even better."

[5.0] "Nothing really noteworthy here. I blame that on Gail and Velvet not having the greatest chemistry in the ring, and Velvet honestly had a number of matches back in 2011-2013 that were better than this. The turn from Taryn was seen coming from a mile away with Taryn having enough of Gail's BS and taking her out near the end with Velvet getting the victory because of aid from Taryn. Started off a bit fun for the first few minutes, and then just followed a typical, paint by the number's procedure. And if anything, it made Velvet look a little weak as a champion from this. 5.5/10."

[5.0] "About as good as a Velvet Sky match can ever get, thanks to Gail Kim being a good worker who did her best here, that and the angle of setting up the Gail Kim and Taryn Terrell feud is honestly an interesting one here, they would end up having some pretty good matches. I'll give that Velvet at least tried here, so props to her."

[3.0] "The work in this match was boring and tedious but the angle that led to the finish was insulting. Poor acting and bad writing mix to make a brutally uninteresting watch."

[7.0] "Great match. We all know Gail can get decent match from anyone and at that time Velvet was really improving her in-ring skills so we got really good women's match looking back at the standard of women's wrestling back in 2013. Both had some great offense and the crowd was behind them. But this match is remembered by the official start of the huge rivalry between Gail Kim and Taryn Terrell - Kim got furious when Terrell counted only 2 after Eat Defat so she slapped her but surprisingly Taryn attacked Gail which led to Sky retaining the title. I didn't expect this great of a match as well as story telling - i love how TNA treated/treats their women. ***, 5"

[5.0] "This match wasn't entirely memorable, aside from the fact that it's an actually decent Velvet Sky match. It's with Gail Kim of course, but regardless this was not bad, almost good. Probably VelVel's best match ever."
