Ayumi Hori & Nancy Kumi vs. Jackie Sato & Rimi Yokota

[7.0] "This match really threatened to be great but didn't quite get there. Unsurprisingly Sato and Yokota were the most impressive team"

[8.0] "A great little match, it had a lot of the good rawness that this era had, but some more impressive spots and the like."

[5.0] "Not the sort of match I'm crazy about but there's a ton of cool looking stuff in here. Yokota comes into her own so quickly just from this and the singles with Sato a few weeks before this, Sato is still the more confident and natural of the two but Yokota does some nuts stuff like practically dropkicking the corner and using it to bounce into a splash. Honya and Kumi have their backs to the wall for most of this, Jackie throws them around ringside into chairs and they come back into the ring with a renewed passion and intensity to give as good as they've got. Aside from being 2/3 falls there's little structure in this and like a lot of this style feels like a rush of moves for a while until it ends, makes it a little too easy to zone in and out."

[8.0] "A really solid tag match. Jackie and Rimi were on fire and their opponents filled their task very well. Pretty much on par with other upper card 1980-81 AJWP matches I've seen so far. No big surprises or outlandish spots (although Yokota's running flip towards the end was really beautiful), just well performed wrestling."

[8.0] "This match was so much fun to look back, I could not believe the offence that Jaguar Yokota was pulling out with her landing on her feet out of moves, which then led to the finish and some of the sequences in the second fall were so cool to watch due to the fast pace, loved this match!"

[8.0] "Unfortunately the match was clipped in the first fall (i don't think the time is right). Jaguar Yokota was out of this world, she can do some impressives moves that only her can. Sato on his side was the ace of AJW and was good as sort of a bruiser. Nancy Kumi was her rival and was also good at brawling. Great match."
