Such a pleasant surprise to see a match packed with action, especially since they didn't rely on a prolonged rest hold in the middle despite both being big guys. Sharpe was great here - constantly yelling, making noise, and staying animated throughout - while Kirchner was over thanks to his gimmick and moved well enough to make it all work. To top it off, the finish was clever, with Corporal using Mike's own weapon against him."

[4.0] "A surprisingly decent match considering Corporal Kirchner isn't the greatest in the ring and always seems like a mismatch for the role he was cast into. Iron Mike is fun to watch in this match as he makes Kirchner look good and keeps the match going with some good offense."
[5.0] "Iron Mike Sharpe does Iron Mike Sharpe things, I always find his act entertaining alas he is in with the near useless Corporal Kirchner. In conclusion, it should have been Iron Mike who dethroned Hogan."
[3.0] "Every time Corp' steps into my vision all I can think is "pretty eyes, lousy work". Kirchner never looked "correct", always appearing blatantly clumsy or excessively exaggerated in his mannerisms. Iron Mike Sharpe is his usual self and you know you're gonna get the "powder" spot. Mike's more vocal than usual tonight, think about THAT statement. Things happen but I can't be invested because its Corporal Kirchner. We get a finish I've always had a soft spot for but I like it better when Hillbilly Jim does it."
[6.0] "Canada's greatest athlete is back to run wild on...nevermind. He got beat by the Corporal. This wasn't a bad match. It just had a lot of clubbering from Sharpe. They run the same finish they did in all of their other matches, with Kirchner using Sharpe's own arm brace against him and making him smack himself in the head with it after loading it up with a foreign object."
