[8.0] "This was a great match. Davey Richards, while good, was still trying to put things together as a singles wrestler during this time period, which is why his best matches around this time was against more experienced wrestlers like Kenta and Samoa Joe. Clearly though, he still had really good wrestling ability, which is why putting him against Low Ki was very beneficial to him. Things started out with some nice mat wrestling, and then they started hitting each other pretty hard with chops and kicks. There was some nice counters here, with a good amount of moves looking so crisp. Even though Low Ki won, Davey looked great here. ****1/4"

It wasn't a bad match but it didn't compel me at the time and I don't feel a whole lot of desire to go and check it out again looking back."

[7.0] "This match debuted in a very refreshing manner, as they exchanged mat wrestling holds that differed from Low Ki's usual match, Davey Richards got a chance to hang with a more experienced wrestler. The match eventually devolved into a more typical kick festival and overextended it's welcome, but it remains a good wrestling with two combatant pushing each other to go deeper."
