[8.0] "First time seeing the Islanders, and they honestly outperform Santana & Martel which is hugely impressive. It's a fast paced match that goes all in and out the ring, real simple but real exciting stuff."

[6.0] "This may be hard to understand as it is being translated. This was broadcast on the May 30, 1988 episode of Prime Time Wrestling. This was a good match. Martel was the MVP and his fists and post-hot tag action were great. This was my first time seeing Tama, but he's a pretty good wrestler and it's a wonder he didn't make it big in the industry."

[8.0] "Match also found on Prime Time Wrestling May 30th 1988: So as to not confuse our viewers too much, we have here a PRE title run Strike Force taking on The Islanders, this match was nearly 8 months old by this airing (wow). Lately PTW has been pulling out matches from the previous year, not sure what was up with that but ever try putting McMahon and logic together? Ever tried a peanut butter and truck rust sandwich? Anyway. two out of three falls in less than 15 minutes. Who would book two out of three falls in such a short time frame? More peanut butter and truck rust sandwiches? Anyway. Action starts hot & furious! Soon the pace settles (relatively) and the work is SO crisp and smooth, ideal honestly (the Back Suplex from Haku to Rick Martel! ). Islanders are maintaining an upper hand with illegal switches & outside of the ring treachery and there's chemistry with everyone all the time. First falls ends with a Double Headbutt Drop to Tito Santana. The second fall is awful: It lasts a few moments and the finish is a Small Package Reversal Assist and it's a fucking 80 count or some bullshit before the sloth ass crypt dwelling corpse of a referee FINALLY gets to it. Usually I watch my language or censor myself but. FUCK SHIT, this referee is GARBAGE! This is how we get to a truncated time limit? FUCK THIS SHIT! 3rd and deciding fall: The Islanders prove to me they DO actually make legal exchanges in this life of ours (it's one I think) and Santana's looking rough. Double Headbutt Drop MISSES! HOT TAG brings in my #1 all time favorite HOT TAG-EE in Rick Martel. YeAeAuH BUDDY! He's THE proverbial house o' fire and just look at him explode on the scene! The crowd is responding in kind, getting hotter with every move. Heel miscommunication, not the prettiest roll up, the crowd counts WITH the ref. ONE! TWO! THREE! MSG loses their collective mind....if only that second fall wasn't such a *curses a few more times* . 8.25"

[9.0] "A 2/3 Falls match that only lasts 10 minutes? Even with these two excellent teams, that's still a tall order to pull off a believable 3 falls match in that short of a time. But they did it. This was great on almost every level. I don't know how they pulled it off under those parameters."

[7.0] "2/3 Falls great match but it feel short - everything was in an hurry - shine was short, heat segment was short and the comeback was too quick but kudos to Tito for his selling and Martel for his fiery comeback."
