AJ Styles vs. Jeff Hardy

[7.0] "I thought this was a pretty good match. AJ Styles had changed much of his style when he started doing his Lone Wolf character. This change in style would pretty much stay this way for the rest of his career, kind of like Surfer Sting and Crow Sting. This match interested me because this is the longest match that AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy had while Jeff was in his physical prime. Their first two singles matches were less than 10 minutes and their matches in WWE were years after that terrible leg injury in 2015 which forced Jeff to slow down. I've heard people say they don't have much chemistry, but honestly I don't know. There was a commercial break in this 13 minute match and it's not like these guys have had a 20 minute singles match on PPV. What we do know is that they've never had bad matches together. Here we saw signs of the old AJ seep through his Lone Wolf style, such as his signature drop kick and the Pele Kick, which was pointed out on commentary that he hadn't used in months. ***1/2"

[6.0] "As others have said this is a match that you kind of expect more from, it isn't bad at all but just doesn't seem to quite gel"

[6.0] "This was a decent enough tv match. Despite AJ and Jeff both being great wrestlers in their own right, I've never been that into any of their singles encounters. The action here was fine but it just feels like something was missing here. Kinda wish AJ had bothered working Jeff's leg at some point to set up for his submission finish."

[7.0] "While this may be a dream match on paper, Ajs character here really limited this match for me. I am not the biggest fan of this lone Wolf rendition of him and it really weighed the match down. Obviously we still got some great sequences, and it was fun overall, but it could have been better."
