[7.0] "This match actually wasn't that bad, i was genuinely SO shocked that Mandy had Dropped her titk]les, and then it led to an underwhelming first run, but then you know she's going great right now with her second reign, i really hope many comes back to WWE or even AEW,"
[7.0] "I know it was to soon for Mandy Rose to lose her title, but Roxanne Perez deserved in any case due to the fact that she was the best baby-face at NXT. This match is also good, I don't understand why it's so underrated. Roxy, I love you, you're my life <3 (6.5/10)"
[2.0] "This match was taken place early instead of having it at NXT New Year's Evil (2023) because of the controversy over Mandy's online behaviour, the match itself is just too rushed and sloppy and both women had zero chemistry due to how abrupt it all was and the drama of it overshadowed Roxanne's crowning moment. Mandy's way too long god forsaken reign as NXT Women's Champion and how it ended in this match are two of the worst booking decisions that have ever happened on NXT and it took a while for the title to be brought back to providence."
[5.0] "The match wasn't particularly good, but that's not surprising since Mandy is a bad wrestler. But how glad I am that this reign of terror has finally come to an end. Rain Mendy was unnecessarily long, boring and hurt the momentum of many other girls who were really talented. I'm glad Rock-C got the title in the end, she deserves it!"
[4.0] "very sloppy booking. the whole match felt rushed and there was zero chemistry between them. Rox hit a very weak "Pop Rocks" in the end to capture gold. she has a lot of trouble landing her finisher with impact. this was a great moment but this was all handled terribly. Rox's title win was overshadowed by Mandy's controversy. this hotshot booking benefited nobody and it should've been a bigger moment for Rox. especially when they made Mandy's 300+ day reign such a big deal."
[5.0] "The way it's been set up looks rushed because of the controversial surrounding around Mandy, but the moment of Roxanne holding the title she's destined to was created nicely. The action was misfiring at points because of the hasty match flow, but there were solid moments of offense from both sides. Mandy is someone who utilized the second chance in NXT to a really good extent despite her contrasting showcases as a record-setting champion & creator of a high potential tag team in Dolin & Jayne. I wish nothing but the best for her in whatever path she takes upon and the same goes for Roxanne as the expectations became even higher with the fact that she's the new champion. 2.5 out of 5 stars!"
[7.0] "The finish may not be as impressive as it could be, okay. Now we know the context of the title change, so what? The match was nothing to be ashamed of and the surprise was there for my part. Roxanne was coming out of that good match on Saturday so the construction of the game was solid. 7/10 3*1/2. Seen on the WWE Network"
[6.0] "This was a fine match with Roxanne winning so quick and love to see Roxanne hold the ROH title in the beginning of the year and holding the NXT title at the end of the year."
[5.0] "I will only give it a 5 because Roxanne was able to take the title from Mandy Rose. The truth was a surprise, I didn't think they would decide this, but well, it starts something new for Roxanne."
[4.0] "A match that was obviously slapped together when controversy involving Mandy Rose emerged. I'll just leave it at that. Roxanne Perez won the Iron Survivor Challenge, which gave her a title shot against Mandy at New Year's Evil, but after being attacked by Mandy early on the show decided to challenge for the title that same night. The match went about 10 minutes, starting just a few minutes before the show was supposed to end and went into an overrun. Roxanne coming out holding back tears gave away what was happening, if it wasn't already clear enough. This was as basic as it could get, with a lot of spots noticeably getting called in the ring and most of it was not good. There wasn't much to note here outside of the last minute, where Roxanne kicked out of Mandy's running knee finisher then after a brief exchange hit the Pop Rocks (which looked really weak) to win the match and become the NXT Women's Champion. Mandy's reign ends at a whopping 413 days, the third longest in the belt's history, which went way too long. Roxanne is very much a worthy champion, she has more potential than pretty much any other wrestler out there given how young and good she already is. The title change gives the division a breath of fresh air, the only saving grace here. Giving this a generous 4/10. edit: Mandy Rose has been released, that escalated quickly."
[7.0] "Eh, I thought this main event with Mandy Rose vs Roxanne Perez was a very good match, and probably the former's best singles match since winning the NXT Women's title too. Obviously, I'm not going to take into account that the context of Roxanne's world title victory, and Mandy's release dozens of hours later."
[5.0] "The match itself wasn't great, and I have a feeling they wanted the title off Mandy Rose ASAP, but the important thing is that Roxanne Perez is the new NXT Women's Champion, and her victory has got the praise it deserves. She's been ROH Women's World Champion, NXT Tag Champion and NXT Women's Champion along with other indie titles, and all by the age of 21. An argument could be made that she is the best wrestler under 25 in the world. I can think of other candidates, but she's certainly up there. UPDATE: Fightful Select are reporting that Mandy Rose has been released, so I can only presume that the issues with her external website led to these decisions."
[1.0] "There's no two ways about it, this was a bad match, right down to them both giving away the outcome with their entrances. There was zero chemistry between the two as they slowly made their way around the ring, working their way through a series of extremely clunky transitions and sloppy moves. At one point time stood still as they paused in the middle of the ring to try and work out what they were supposed to be doing. It's also pretty funny that Mandy's abysmal, excruciating 413 day title reign was brought to an end by the slowest, clunkiest, weakest looking 'pop-rocks' ever delivered, in a match with no build, on a completely random TV episode. The reality is that the calamity that was this match, and the piss-poor promo that 'built' it was a perfect summation of Mandy's entire reign, it sucked. The only positive here is that it's finally over. Perez has a lot of work to do, especially on the mic, but she's a far better option than Mandy and title matches should now be better, they surely can't be any worse."
[2.0] "I won't use the term "hotshot" because frankly I don't know what happened behind the scenes but man, everything about this felt rushed. From the challenge in a promo where Bron and Grayson spoke more than Roxanne to the match itself. Mandy's reign was not good, it was chock-full of mediocre to bad matches full of interference in an development show that didn't need a 400+ reign... from anyone, really. But it's still an historic reign (the third longest in NXT), so ending this without a meaningful build is just bad. Also bad was the match: slow, sloppy, no chemistry between them and even the winner was telegraphed by Roxanne almost crying in the entrance and Mandy with the biggest boo boo face you can find. Roxanne is a good wrestler just at 21 years old with a world of potential, just wish her big moment was something better."
[4.0] "Pretty boring match with a really rushed finish. Mandy Rose just is not a main event talent, I'm sorry, I know she has her fans and stans, but in all of her title defenses she's either cringe inducing or boring as sin to watch. Watching her come out looking like a Kardashian with an oil drum of makeup and tanning lotion on, trying her best to put on her 'serious face' that just looked like she wanted to go home, it's ridiculous. And I can tell Triple H was ACHING to get the title off her. Having her lose to Roxanne Perez on a random TV main event, not even New Year's Evil is just hilarious. Anyway, there wasn't anything technically wrong here, but it dragged and there's only so much carrying Perez can do. *2*"
