[6.0] "Cartoonishly presented bout of nations straight from the 80s and early 90s. Cena's stunner is the only memorable part of the match. Brandi was a horrible announcer by the way."

[6.0] "Rusev ruled. Of course Mr. America won the US title. That Rusev entrance goes hard. Not gonna lie, this fued had Rusev out-aura Cena by miles. He was the one to have submitted Cena after a long time. Match was fine. Nothing crazy. Usual Cena match. Rusev should have retained."

[7.0] "To start off Rusev had one of the most memorable Wrestlemania entrances of all time coming out on a tank. In ring this match was okay, but it was a fun match to have at Mania and this is also what started John Cena's amazing US title reign."

[7.0] "This was a fun match that began Cenas epic 2015 United States title run. I honestly really enjoyed this rivalry. They took the outdated wrestling trope of the evil foreigner and made it feel fresh and exciting, and that is a testament to how great John Cena is and Rusev was. Solid match with a satisfying finish that still leaves the door open for future rematches."

[7.0] "RUSEV IN A TANK. THE FUCKING AURA. KING SHIT. the match was pretty decent, it really picks up in the last few minutes when cena busts out the gangsta springboard stunner and the submission wars begin. JBL calls this the biggest win of Cena's career. sure why not ***1/2"

[8.0] "Yeah everybody knew the result but nobody expected how the match would be. Rusev's entrace was literally diabolical. The match felt great with spots and moves making cena look like a great TNA wrestler. Only thing that bother me was the whole RUSSIA VS USA thing. This isn't Rocky 4, heck you didn't even kill a close mate of cena to have this win for cena. It's just a poor taste in otherwise a fun match."

[8.0] "An excellent Cena match; &, like all excellent Cena matches, it duly features Cena front-and-center, feeding to his opponent's monstrous sensibilities & constantly fighting from underneath (Cena's fucking face in that Accolade deep in the match is a sight to behold. He sells it amazingly, that shit does NOT look comfortable! ). Rusev highlights Cena's athleticism and hides Cena's repetitive moveset, & Cena even shows deep in the match that he's learned a new move, doing a wild second-rope-launch-to-Stunner that I've never seen before. Numerous impressive power feats by Rusev; it goes without saying that WWE seriously had something going on with him. Of course, Vince doesn't respect this & apologizes for endless Cena-mania with yet another completely fucking unneeded title reign in 2015, rather than nursing Rusev's near-150-match streak into something truly special in a booking decision that epitomizes why I stopped watching for a long time in the early 2010's."

[7.0] "A really solid hard hitting match and a good kick off to John Cena's iconic 2015 reign as WWE U.S. Champion."

[7.0] "A good way to start John Cena's reign as US Champion, after a solid match against Rusev against the great one at Fastlane. (7/10)"

[6.0] "Not that I'm saying anything new here, but Rusev's entrance has got to be one of the best in WrestleMania history. He looks pretty awesome in the match, too, as he shows off an impressive blend of athleticism and power. He digs pretty deep into his toolbox here and pulls out some moves that we never see from him anymore, like a pretty cool looking diving headbutt. The match is very solid, but the finish has always left a sour taste in my mouth. While I am not a fan of finisher spam in the slightest, it has always bugged me that Rusev is seemingly one of the few guys to be put away with only one FU. A match with an unstoppable, undefeated heavyweight monster is one of the few times where a finisher nearfall would make perfect sense... And this is practically the only time where it doesn't happen? I thought it made Rusev look like a loser, and found it very underwhelming how easily Cena put him away in the end. It's definitely a good match, but, given the context, I really would have liked to see more struggle from Cena here."

[6.0] "Very solid match that i honestly didnt remember enjoying as much as i did rewatching this. These guys had very good chemistry in ring in all there matches tho honestly. This is around the time Cena decided to just produce banger after banger and pretty much get a whole new move set. Also the start of probably the best U.S. title run of all time. 3.25 stars."

[5.0] "The entrances (OK, maybe only Rusev's) were the best part of this match. I dare you to remember anything about this match other than the debut of the horrible Springboard Stunner and Rusev's year-long undefeated streak ending with one AA."

[4.0] "Terribly boring match. John Cena against a mid carder for a mid title no one really cares about a majority of the time just isn't doing it for me for a Wrestlemania match. The USA vs foreign country angle was lame as well, that's more then played out at this point."

[10.0] "Pretty great match, i remeber warching it when i was around 15 years old and being very happy that Cena has won the United States championship."

[5.0] "The most memorable parts of this match are Rusev's entrance and the fact that he didn't win. When those are the memorable parts, you know the stuff between the ropes isn't worth your time. This one killed Rusev a bit, and Super Cena picked up another meaningless W. 2.5 Stars."

[6.0] "Weiteres solides Match dieser Card. Ab hier begann dann der beliebte Cena US Titel Run und schon in diesem Match versucht er sich an neuen Sachen, wie dem Spring Board Stunner usw. Rusev funktionierte als Heel gut und sein Entrance war auch geil. Wie gesagt ein ganz nettes Match(***)."

[7.0] "Rusev had a strong performance here against one of the greatest in the league, much like Wyatt did the year before. The crowd enthusiastically embraced his use of every offensive tactic to demonstrate his superior athleticism, but another promising player was lost as a result of the increased faith in Cena's star power. The rivalry between the two men worked fine, and this international story is really dated, especially for the villains. Nevertheless, the action was intense, and Cena intermittently used his new abilities to score another victory that, despite initially appearing to be a disappointment, felt fantastic due to the "Open Challenge" idea. 3.5 out of 5 stars!"

[7.0] "Fine match. Don't get me wrong I Love Cena but the crowd doesn't seem to. Just wished he could've gotten cheered more because he really knocks out a good performance here."

[5.0] "This felt like an average match. The action was fine though. I just didn't care enough about any of this."

[6.0] "Decent match between Cena and Rusev here which was still superior to their very average Fastlane encounter but it wasn't a complicated thing to do honestly so it's not like it's an accomplishment, these guys just don't have any chemistry but what made me like this match better than their previous one was probably its length because here it was much shorter and a little better paced. You still have some pretty boring moments when Rusev dominates as usual but no long heat that seems endless or anything, however I preferred Cena's performance at the previous PPV because here I felt he was a little bit uninspired and the crowd didn't care about him even if he still makes people react of course. This rivalry was just your usual boring feud with the american hero who ends up winning against the european villain, stories like that are never interesting and was even less so here. There was definitely nothing to remember about this match except the result, where some will claim that Cena buried Rusev by breaking his winning streak I'm just happy that he put an end to Rusev's awful title reign, especially when you see the run that Cena had with the US Championship the months that followed."

[6.0] "Die erste Hälfte war echt cool und hat viel Spaß gemacht. Rusev macht als Heel das Tempo. Die zweite Hälfte war aber viel langsamer und war auch nicht so dramatisch, wie probiert wurde darzustellen."

[7.0] "I used to find this angle tacky and tasteless, but I now find the patriotism so over the top and cheesy that it felt like it's ripped right out of Rocky IV! Rusev's offense looks so unique and he moves around at a lightning-quick pace for a bigger guy. We are at peak work rate Cena time and he pulls off a tornado DDT and that gloriously ugly springboard stunner. Lana tries to interfere but is knocked off the apron after Cena sends Rusev into her. Both guys try to lock in their submissions, but it's an AA that puts Rusev to bed. This was a fun heavyweight sprint that never had the chance to stagnate."

[2.0] "These guys just had no chemistry and Rusev just really didn't have the in ring skills, John Cena sadly doesn't often deliver at mania and this is a prime example, it was just the standard American baby face beats foreign heel match"

[8.0] "RUSEV ON A FUCKING TANK. I REPEAT RUSEV ON A FUCKING TANK. EPIC ALREADY. RUSEV ON A MUTHAFUCKIN? TANK! . The actual match itself is pretty damn awesome. Rusev being a big hoss throwing some big bombs on Cena, doing everything he could think of, even hitting a flying headbutt. I think he sold his desperation perfectly as well. Cena was pretty good too barring the debut of that abomination. ***3/4"

[6.0] "Ein ordentliches Standard-Match mit genau einem Höhepunkt: Der eingesprungene Stunner von Cena. Ansonsten ist die Angelegenheit unspektakulär und "stört nicht". Submission-Moves sorgen für einen kleinen Spannungsfaktor aber im Grunde ist nach Fastlane ja auch das Ergebnis klar. Da die Sache solide geworkt ist und an sich gut funktioniert gibts aufgerundete ***."

[6.0] "Did Cena really need the win. He should have put Rusev over. Instead he took the win and destroyed Rusev career."

[6.0] "Cena may have won, but Rusev gets plenty of rub here. For one, WWE went all in on his entrance, something most folks debuting at WrestleMania don't get. Rusev dominated much of the match and looked strong. It took the distraction of him crashing into Lana to have him taste defeat for the first time. WWE now has Cena and Daniel Bryan holding its midcard titles. Expect rejuvenation for both belts."

[4.0] "Sehr langweiliges Match, ist praktisch in allen Belangen auf TV Niveau. Rusev hat ein Paar dominante Phasen wird aber immer wieder von Cena's Come-Back Hope Spots in die Enge getrieben, bis seine Ehepartnerin ihm hilft. Die Story bestand praktisch daraus, wie Cena diesen Nachteil umgehen konnte. Das Resultat war in einem einfachen Finish, ohne Vorarbeit und ehrlich ohne irgendetwas interessantes (**)."

[7.0] "Für mich auch unter den Top 3 an diesen Abend. Beginnt schon mit einen klassen Entrance von Rusev, während der von Cena diesmal norml daherkommt. Im Match selber packen beide den ein oder anderen neuen Move aus. Dabei überzeugt vor allem Cenas Springboard Stunner. Das Finish konnte mich dagegen nicht ganz so packen. (3 1/2*)"

[4.0] "Extremely boring match, worst match on the entire Wrestlemania Card, would probably be ok on TV, but this was weaker than their Fastlane match."

[7.0] "Das Match war auch sehr ordentlich geworkt von den beiden, aber leider auch nicht so gut, wie man es sich vor dieser Begegnung erhofft hatte. Auch hier hat ein bisschen Tempo und vielleicht noch ein bisschen Zeit gefehlt, damit sich das Match entwickeln konnte. Das Rusev hier nicht siegen würde, weil leider spätestens nach dem Einzug klar, aber es war trotzdem eine falsche Booking-Entscheidung. *** 1/2"

[5.0] "Das Match ist an sich ganz okay, jedoch nervt mich wie immer dieses typische Cena Booking. Der Eintrance von Rusev ist bemerkenswert. Das Match leider nicht. Für einen Raw Main Event gut, für die große Bühne jedoch zu wenig. Lana spielt den entscheidenen Faktor. Das Finish ist sehr schlecht. Ein AA und zack ist der unbesiegte Rusev besiegt. So ein Schwachsinn, naja typisch Cena halt."

[8.0] "Rusev kommt mit dem Panzer zum Ring. Nie hätte ich geglaubt, dass so etwas mal passieren wird. Die Story hier ist ganz simpel und deswegen so gut: Rusev wird in den weeklies als unbezwingbares us-feindliches Monster aufgebaut und gewinnt den Landestitel. Nebenbei gewinnt er als Rookie (nicht ganz fair) gegen John Cena und schon haben wir dieses Match für Wrestlemania: Böser Russland-Fetischist gegen den Retter der Witwen und Waisen. Cena kann mehr als er üblicherweise zeigen muss und selbiges gilt in sogar größerem Ausmaß auch für Rusev und an dieser Stelle liefern beide. Für mich eines der Matches von WrestleMania 31!"

[2.0] "Thought that this was pretty damn boring. I really didn't like their Fastlane match either, I gave it **1/2, but this one was even worse, IMO. I feel like both Cena & Rusev are really awesome in ring workers, but they just have no chemistry w/ each other. I also hated how weak they made Rusev look, because he deserved to put on a bigger fight. Only one FU puts him down even though he kicked out of one @ Fastlane? Wtf? *1/2."

[7.0] "Erinnerte mich etwas an Batista vs. Cena um den World Heavyweight Championship bei WrestleMania 26. Vorweg gab es einen wirklich einmaligen Entrance von Rusev, der u. a. auf einem Panzer zur Entrance Rampe vorgefahren kam. Allein das zu sehen war schon großartig. Das Match fand ich gut und hat meine Erwartungen zumindest erfüllt, da ich ihr Match bei Fastlane nicht gesehen hatte. Aufgefallen ist mir ein Schuhwurf von Lana der Cena wohl ablenken sollte, was nicht wirklich aufging. Ebenso fand ich, dass Rusev mit einem Attitude Adjustment etwas zu leicht besiegt wurde, doch die Art und Weise wie das Finish zustande kam, war in Ordnung. Ein paar neue Moves gab es von beiden auch zu sehen, von Cena u. a. einen beeindruckenden Springboard Stunner. Beide haben abgeliefert und Rusev wurde auch, trotz des Finishs, nicht zu schwach dargestellt. Doch auch Cena schien, wie Bryan im Opener, der Gewinn des United States Championship nicht allzu sehr zu erfreuen. Er sah ziemlich ernst aus und das hat mir besser gefallen, als sein sonst so typisches Grinsen nach großen Siegen."

[7.0] "That was a good US title match, a little bit worse than their previous encounter though. First of all, Rusev's entrance was great and the video before Cena's entrance was really powerful. As far as the match goes, man, Rusev is one hell of a talented wrestler, simply incredible skills for a guy of his size. Cena was overshadowed by Rusev, for sure. I believe John did a Springboard Stunner... The crowd was good. All in all, a solid match for the prestige of the US Championship Title."

[6.0] "Nicht besser als bei Fastlane, aber auch nicht schlechter. Highlights waren der Stunner von Cena und der Entrance von Rusev. Das Cena geweint war leider klar. ***"

[7.0] "I think we all expected Cena to win the title, and that is all well and good (even if I disagree with it) but the trick here is to build a match that puts doubt into the mind of the person watching. You have to build the peaks and valley and finally get to a crescendo and deliver the entire package. I felt that they had a good match, they worked hard but the match built a bit, and then kind of plateau’d and never hit that next level. Also, Rusev falling so easily at the end was a disappointment because he had been built so well that I feel Cena should have had to hit him with much more than the one AA off of the Lana bump. Again, I liked the match, but I really feel that they are capable of much more. Hopefully Cena winning the title will FINALLY, along with Bryan’s win, mean a new focus on those titles. I won’t believe it until I see it, but I can hope."

[7.0] "Ich fand das Match gar nicht schlecht. Von Anfang an hatte man ne gewisse Intensität auch wenn Rusev erstmal Cena plättet und der sich dann wieder hochkämpfen muss. Hat mir aber gut gefallen, alles war durchaus stimmig. Rusev wurde sehr stark dargestellt, weswegen die Niederlage und Titelverlust kein Beinbruch sind. War doch klar, dass Cena Rusev klein kriegen wird. Kam also nicht so überraschend alles. Dazu sah der Springboard Stunner echt nice aus."

[5.0] "Entrance von Rusev war grandiose, von Cena dagegen sehr langweilig. Das Match war leider auch eher eines der schlechteren am Abend. Außer dem Top Rope Leg Drop von Cena, war es das normale Moveset von beiden. Keine Überraschungen, solides Match."

[7.0] "Die beiden fügen sich auch in die Reihe guter Matches ein. Cena packt einfach mal den Springboard Stunner aus. Dass Cena letztendl die Serie von Rusev beenden darf stört mich dabei nicht, da es glaubwürdig ist."

[6.0] "Solides Match das in meinen Augen eindeutig schlechter war als bei Fastlane. Rusev dominiert Cena fast den gesamten Kampf nach belieben und Johnny Boy kann nur vereinzelt selbst Offensivaktionen zeigen. Hierbei weiß er allerdings durch einen Springboard Stunner durchaus zu überraschen. Insgesamt war das aber mal wieder das verhasste typische Cena Booking. Umso besser und überlegener der Gegner ist, umso geringer sind seine Siegchancen (Ausnahme letzter SummerSlam). Bezeichnend fand ich in diesem Zusammenhang, dass Cena nicht einmal gegen einen verhassten Russen eindeutig bejubelt wird. Schauen wir mal welches hoffnungsvolle Talent Cena nächstes Jahr bei Wrestlemania jegliches Momentum rauben wird."

[7.0] "John holte sich nach einem guten WWE U. S Championship Match gegen Rusev nach 11 Jahren wieder diesen Titel. Seinen ersten US Champion Title holte er sich auch bei WM (WM XX) auch hat er nun gleich viele Regentschaften wie Booker T. Das Match selbst fand ich eine Spur schwächer als das bei WWE Fastlane 2015, trotzdem richtig gut (***1/4)."

[7.0] "Das Match konnte ungefähr so überzeugen wie bei Fast Lane. Dad Cena einen Springboard Stunner gezeigt hat konnte man nun nicht wirklich erwarten. Mit Cena als Sieger kann man leben da er wahrscheinlich in der Lage ist den Titel wieder mehr Bedeutung zu verschaffen"

[6.0] "Wenig Überraschendes im US-Titelmatch bei WrestleMania XXXI - Cena bekommt seine Revanche und den Gürtel, wobei das Match eine saubere und eher impact- und submissionlastige Angelegenheit darstellt. Beide spulen ein anständig gescriptetes Match herunter und einzig der eingesprungene Stunner vom zweiten Seil stellt einen gewissen Sonderstatus dar. Ein fetter Entrance für Rusev und am Ende eine Lana als Zünglein an der Waage (sowas musste ja kommen, schliesslich hatte sie sich grundlos ihrer Klotschen entledigt) sind die einzigen Alleinstellungsmerkmale einer im Grunde doch eher unspektakulären Nummer auf großer Bühne. Aufgerundet."

[6.0] "Ging absolut in Ordnung. Rusevs Leistung kann man würdigen, der sich hier bei WM ganz gut schlägt und Cena paroli bieten kann. Die patriotische Vorgeschichte machte aber die Story ein bisschen zu sehr straight forward, sodass eigentliche Überraschungen ausblieben. Abgerundet auf 6."

[7.0] "Rusev und Cena konnten ihr Match von Fastlane zwar nicht nochmal erreichen, haben aber trotzdem wieder eine gute Leistung gebracht und der Chaingang Soldier konnte wrestlerisch auch etwas mehr punkten. Nur das Ende wirkte mir einfach viel zu plump. Trotzdem haben die Fans hier einen netten Feel Good Moment bekommen. Daher ging das auch klar. (***1/2)."

[7.0] "War ein gutes Match. Cena packt Moves aus die man in 10 Jahren nicht von ihm gesehen hat wie zb. Einen Jumping Tornado DDT oder ein Springboard Stunner. Rusev packt auch einen Flying Headbut aus. Also hat mir gefallen war ein Ticken besser als bei Fast Lane!"

[6.0] "Storylinetechnisch ging mir das Match sonstwo vorbei. Ich hätte es auch am liebsten übersprungen aber ich wollte einmal ein Wrestlemania gucken ohne Pinkelpausen etc. Und so wurde mir ein solides Match serviert. Rusev gefällt mir ganz gut. Das Finish war grauenhaft und enttäuschend. Trotzdem 6 / 10"

[6.0] "Bis zum Zeitpunkt dieses Matches für mich ohne Zweifel das beste Mania Match. Grundsolide Story, hervorragende Leistung von Rusev in allen Belangen (***)."

[9.0] "Second best match on the card. Very good work from both men and it elevated the US title in a way we haven't seen in years."

[5.0] "Wenn die Fans nach anfänglicher Laune irgendwann keine Lust mehr haben, Cena auszubuhen, dann kann das Match nicht so übermäßig gutklassig gewesen sein und das war es auch nicht. Wenig Innovation, einiges an Leerlauf und ein irgendwie unnötiger Sieger kamen dann noch obendrauf. Rusev hat nun vorerst kein Momentum mehr und steht vielleicht sogar noch ohne Lana da. War nicht meins (**1/4)."

[7.0] "Nach den Entrances (Rusev natürlich sehr spektakulär, Cena recht bodenständig und fokussiert) geht es erstmal recht explosiv los. Dann machen beide das, was bei Fastlane schon funktioniert hat, wobei Rusev doch sehr schnell verzweifelt. Cena darf mal wieder was Neues auspacken (kommt immer gut) und es geht dann hin und her. Leider wirkt das Finish etwas billig und so "80er" wie eine USA vs. Russland Fehde. Hat allerdings auch den Vorteil, dass Rusev dadurch nicht zu sehr geschwächt wird. Ein paar Minuten mehr hier und einige weniger beim folgenden Labersegment und das Match wäre wohl mehr als "nur" gut gewesen."

[6.0] "Wie auch bei Fastlane fand ich dass die beiden nicht gut miteinander harmonieren. Der Titelwechsel ist schön, aber nichts was man bei Fastlane nicht gesehen hat, außer dem springboard stunner von cena."

[7.0] "Der Entrance von Rusev war der Wahnsinn, so muss ein Special Entrance aussehen. Bei dem Match bin ich dann aber zwiegespalten. Da fand ich das bei Fastlane doch noch einen Ticken besser. Zwar packen beide hier tolle Aktionen aus, vornehmlich Rusev, aber auch Cena, aber das Ende fand ich dann doch etwas sehr einfach gemacht, hier wurde Rusev weder sonderlich clever noch robust dargestellt. Her wäre insgesamt doch noch etwas mehr drin gewesen. 7 Punkte und ***1/2."

[8.0] "Was die WWE hier an Kalter Krieg Propaganda raushaut lässt selbst Rocky 4 kalt aussehen. Zum Match selbst: Hat mir deutlich besser gefallen als bei Fast Lane. Rusev hat sich echt verbessert und Chemie mit Cena stimmt einfach."

[8.0] "Rusev kommt mit dem Panzer rein, unfassbar großartig. Das Match ist es hier ebenfalls. Cena sogar mit einem Springboard Stunner? Krass. Und dann ist Cena tatsächlich der Sieger? Klare Steigerung nochmal zu ihrem Fastlane Match, 8 Punkte."
