[6.0] "Good fun when we got Keith Lee and Shane Taylor squaring off, JD Griffey also did some good work and Strickland looked every bit the star he would become. I will admit I have not seen any of Keith Lee and Shane Taylor tagging in ROH, but it was not hard to buy in to the story of Lee leaving Taylor and Taylor wanting revenge. Enjoyable albeit let down by the bickering between Lee and Strickland."
[7.0] "This boils down to a hossfest for all you big meat lovers. No homo intended. Two incredible displays of strength, Big Keith catches Taylor off the second turnbuckle and gets him up in the Samoan Drop position like he's dealing with a bag of compost. Taylor also hits his Rikishi Driver on a close to 350 pounder. Swerve takes a powder, plenty of friendly fire and Lee wins it with his immense Big Bang Catastrophe."
[7.0] "Another fun Tag Team Match for the show, though this one had a much better finish. This was my first time seeing Griffey wrestle and I think he did a pretty good job here. There are things he can improve upon, but hes pretty good already, in my opinion."
[4.0] "I'm honestly not sure what to think of this match. Swerve is great and I'm tired of rating his matches low, but I always see him in multi-man and tag matches and it's never his fault when things go south. He was the best worker of the match, but the storytelling and awkwardness held this match down. JD looked terrible aside from his selling. His strikes were weak and had several miscommunications. Shane and Lee were pretty awkward whenever they faced off. The storytelling of this match felt very obscure. I'm not sure who even remembers what Keith Lee did in ROH. **1/4"
[8.0] "While Swerve and Lee's breakup has reached its peak, that gave Taylor and Griffey a hell of a showcase. I like this MMA vibes of Griffey, even though that was Taylor that carried the shit, but at least, JD can sell. Strickland and Lee displayed their chemistry either together or against the other. Big drama and big moves, that rocked hard."
[5.0] "This was my first exposure to this JD Griffey dude and I was disappointed. Looking at his ratings and matches on here, it's pretty clear majority of the viewers had no idea who this guy was. One of the commentators did say that he was a legit fighter so I guess he was trying to hold back during his striking sequences cause they looked awful. His suplexes and throws were pretty slick at times though. However, we saw plenty of botches and miscommunications between all of that. Shane Taylor was on his game. Everything he did looked like it hurt. His sequences with both Swerve and Lee looked great. Both members of SIOG were great too but that's a given. Props to Caprice and Ian for doing excellent commentary and filling in the gaps. I'm not up to speed with the whole story they were trying to tell but these 2 do a spectacular job in making it make sense. All in all, this was fine. There was some stuff to like but there were too many botches and straight up miscommunications to give this one a higher grade."
[7.0] "An excellent match with both teams each having a larger and a smaller athlete which worked out well in this match and led to some good moments and pieces of action. Did a good job of continuing the Swerve in Our Glory story which played into the finish."
[7.0] "The continuing developments between Swerve and Lee were great, and I thought JD Griffey looked fantastic, but I don't know who Shane Taylor is, and nothing about the build or the match made me care to find out."
[9.0] "I really, really, really liked this match. It had a little of everything, everyone forearmed and punted each other in the skull with everything they had in a surprisingly stiff bout in some parts, but in others there was high flying offense by Swerve, MMA type brawling by Griffey, and some great power moves by Keith and Shane. I loved the bits where all four men were in the ring and started using clacking punches, knees, and kicks, and Keith Lee doing a moonsault from the second rope. Overall, just a really good tag match, highly recommend! *4.25*"
[7.0] "Griffey left his first impression on a decent note as he looked pretty good on some occasions but felt out of place in overall. Other than that, Strickland provided some nice inputs here and there. But the main story is the showdown between Keith Lee & Shane Taylor which was the heart of the story. They carried themselves as premiere combatants, created insane moments and gave stellar performances. It could've been a lot better if this was a singles showdown with Strickland costing Lee as the endpoint, but it is what it is. My interest is rising higher & higher on the progress of the rift of SIOG & Shane Taylor's inclusion is a great direction for that angle. 3.5 out of 5 stars!"
[7.0] "Santa Barbara continues in the Swerve In Our Glory team, but they win even with Swerve gone. It is interesting. I was really surprised. Shane Taylor Promotions loses points and goes to the locker room with a defeat. The match looked very impressive towards the end and everything was really epic, especially the exchanges of blows to the body and head. Shane and Keith Lee really staged a miracle exchange of power movements and generally stole the match with their energy."
[7.0] "While JD seemed to have some bright spots it doesn't seem like he totally has it as a wrestler and it showed on some of his stuff here that didn't look as great and some was perhaps too ambitious but this is the worst thing I can say about this match. It told a great story with great dynamics between the four and the build to some big spots that got a big reaction. While I get the finish it felt a bit too anti climatic."
[7.0] "Overall a good match with good story. This is my first introduction of JD. Despite some off the MMA spots were bit off, but some of them looked very good. Keith and Shane git great reaction in their stand-off, and Keith cane across as a big star winning the match after Swerve walked out on him. ***1/4"
[8.0] "I don't know what the deal was with JD but the dude looked so out of place in this match. He did MMA offense but he didn't really get anything out of it and lost a strike exchange with Swerve at one point; his submissions never came across as dangerous and ultimately he lost the match for his team. That said, really cool tag match. This was about Pretty Boy Killers being face to face for the first time in over half a decade, and when we got that holy FUCK it was awesome. Shane Taylor was such an underrated part of ROH in the late 10s and early 20s and I'm glad he got this spot here to show it with his former tag partner from when he started in ROH. Keith obviously brought his A-game for Shane here, and Swerve's heel work in recent months has just been excellent, with a perfect blend of crisp, cocky athleticism and a slimy attitude. The finish of Swerve walking out on Lee like Lee did on him, only for Lee to win the 2v1 is a great wrinkle in this storyline. If Shane had a better partner that gelled more with Keith & Swerve this could've been excellent. ***1/2+"
[7.0] "Can they coexist? Well, no, but they manage to fashion a pretty good match out of it anyway. They were perhaps trying to tell too many stories at once here, but the action was solid throughout."
[7.0] "This was really fun, despite some issues. I had never seem Griffey before and had no idea what go expect. He is a bit rough around the edges (some of his strikes were very weak or totally missed) but I liked his tenacity with the Rear Naked Choke attempts and he had this great way of selling some of Swerve's strikes where he really looked like dead weight. All of the strength spots between Keith Lee and Shane Taylor were awesome and their interactions felt like a big deal, especially in front of a crowd that sounded invested. I was tempted to give this a higher rating but it probably had a few too many issues (largely from Griffey, who has potential and brought something interesting to the table but clearly isn't at the level of the other three) to warrant it. Still, I really enjoyed this one."
[8.0] "A great storytelling match. Moreso for us diehard/sicko fans who love Ring of Honor and remember Keith Lee going to WWE. Perfect storytelling from all involved."
[8.0] "A very good fight and I really liked the teaming of Shane Taylor with JD, I like that mix they make. And well, to highlight surely that spot of Keith Lee where he makes a Moonsault."
[7.0] "This was a lot of fun and had lots of story. Many impressive spots with tons of personality. It was cool to see Keith Lee face his former tag partner."
[9.0] "Another excellent match. Really impressed by JD Griffey, who I'd never heard of before and does some incredibly impressive moves. Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland really bring out each other's strengths and cover up their weaknesses, so I hope they stay together with their tempestuous dynamic for a while longer."
[8.0] "The hoss battle between the former Pretty Boy Killers was tremendous, and JD Griffey impressed in his role using his MMA techniques. Once again there was a walkout involving Swerve In Our Glory, but unlike when Keith Lee walked out on Strickland and Strickland lost, when Swerve walked out this time, Lee won. Probably won't be long until the official turn, but otherwise we should hopefully see more of Taylor and Griffey as a team."
