Karl Anderson vs. Toru Yano

[6.0] "This match was fine for what it was... a fun, short stop-gap. Yano is the king of comedy matches and I think Anderson did well to make this fun."

[6.0] "This match really showed Anderson's range for me. I was a little lessened on him after some of the stuff in the last match with Okada but he really played up the comedy in this and was believable as both a big timer in the tournament and the fool of this goofy ordeal."

[6.0] "Much needed change of pace on this show with a really fun comedy match where Yano does his usual thing but Karl is so willing to look like an idiot and just play to the fans that it really works. Karl mocking Yano for the first half of the match popped me, and they get real mileage out of the exposed turnbuckle and low blow/referee shenanigans. There's not much in terms of action to pick apart, but it's definitely impressive how much they were able to get a lot out of a little."

[6.0] "The Toru Yano special is a little more welcome in these 10 Tournament Match Cards, where it is a nice break from the same style of match. Anderson leaned into a lot of the comedy and it worked better as a result. 3 star match as Anderson can't follow up his massive win over Okada with any more points."
