Chris Jericho vs. Randy Orton

[7.0] "Took a while to pull me in, but they got there eventually after a by the numbers opening half. This did get quite good with some back and forth exciting action. Crowd seemningly had the same as they were quiet until waking up big time for the final minutes. Good match overall."

[6.0] "Jericho's return with 'The Second Coming' sets the stage in a very compelling way for this match, and combined with Orton's now rather lengthy reign, it makes a title change seem all the more likely. Despite the positive buildup, the match gets off to a rather sluggish start and devolves into grappling and the typical, slow-paced maneuvers for which Orton is notorious. Jericho repeatedly offers bursts of speed and then a final phase that makes the tension palpable once again. However, Layfield's interference to disqualify the champion must truly be classified as unworthy, because it somehow reduces the at times exemplary build-up to absurdity. That annoys me quite a bit in the end, which is why I'm holding my thumb on a maximum of six points."

[7.0] "Another really good match on this show, this time with Jericho who felt fresh after his return - he changed his style, addes some moves to his repertoire and got a babyface reaction. They started out slower, but once they kicked into the higher gear the crowd got loud and they were screaming out of their minds for the Walls of Jericho. Also a pretty clever way to set up Chris' feud with JBL, so I didn't mind the DQ finish at all."

[6.0] "A really good match that I'd have given 7 points to if not for a very weak DQ finish. The pace of the match ebbed and flowed really well, and Orton made sure Jericho looked great on his first PPV match back. Their chemistry was really meshing here, and the fact that the pace as well as the advantages flowed back and forth kept this one super interesting. The crowd desperately wanted Jericho to win, and the place was coming unglued when it looked like it might happen. But then JBL causes the DQ for a pretty poor reason, and the air comes out of everyone's sails. This match was on its way to being a special one, but due to the finish, it's a step away from that."

[7.0] "Crowd popped hard for the Walls of Jericho, really good stint in the middle of the match around the Lionsault. JBL interference was clever and well thought out. Could have done with going on a bit longer and with Randy showing some more offence but otherwise a solid match."

[6.0] "The match is okay, mainly one sided towards Randy Orton, but starts to get pretty good near the end. But then of course John Bloody Layfield interferes cause we couldn't have a solid Orton match without a shit ending around this time period, could we? ***1/4"

[6.0] "It's a good Jericho vs Orton match, but it's disappointing because of a terrible ending with a cheap DQ. The feud has a good hype, the match is solid, without any real great moment. It could have been the big title win for Jericho, but Orton continues his main event run. ***"
