[7.0] "[3.75*] The bell only sounded after several minutes as The Elite didn't wait for the match to start to attack Death Triangle with violence. The match was very interesting with several cool jumps and spots. The exchanges between them were very good (apart from the endless Superkick sequence, which I didn't like so much). The end of the match was a bit strange and took away some points from the match."

[8.0] "Very fun and exciting spotfest: the Elite attacked Death Triangle while they were making their entrance and the two teams started to brawl on the ramp and the stage. Pac hit a beautiful moonsault off the stage and the Lucha Bros hit a double cutter on the ramp, very cool stuff. They moved in the ring where chaos ruled (in a good way): there were lots of amazing sequences, exchanges and high-risk manuevers. Wasn't a huge of the ending but overall it was very fun and entertaining match. 8/10 - 4.25*/5*"

[5.0] "The Elite jumping Death Triangle at the start was a nice touch as they showed frustration from their previous losses. The brawl was a bit of a mess with sloppy moments (Weak punches, PAC casually walking into position for Kotaro, The Bucks walking into position for the double cutters) but there were a few cool moments too. Knox takes a double dropkick from Matt which leads to Penta trying to cheat early with a hammer. There was a story involving Death Triangle arguing over if they should cheat or not. Fenix stops Penta from using the hammer and takes a nasty V-Trigger for it. Omega looked like a killer as he threw some big bombs. Death Triangle would isolate Omega after a package piledriver and an avalanche falcon arrow from PAC. They all got too cutesy with an out of place mirrored superkick no-sell exchange somewhere in the middle of the match. After the heat in the commercial Omega hits a big V-Trigger on PAC then we get to the finishing stretch. This was the worst closing stretch of any Elite/Death Triangle match so far. There wasn't a lot of excitement here as Nick and Fenix had some sloppy exchanges and there were a lot of superkicks to cover up for the lack of creativity. The finish was simple but effective with Matt getting his knees up for PAC's black arrow. **1/2"

CoolKyle wrote on 19.01.2023:

Everyone was flying everywhere so it was hard to keep track of what was really happening. They wasted a good 5 minutes to do a bunch of moves they did during the match too."

[8.0] "The one I've least appreciated in the series so far, but they're trying other shit, and this is to their credit. The Elite is on the edge of an humilation, they had to prove they're not fools, and so they went by being bitches and had quite a brawl. This was a bit messy, like they've took so long to really start the bout, but nevermind. That was less centered on the psychology, just two trios beating the hell out of each other. The finish was cool, though."
psychostar wrote on 09.12.2022:
[7.0] "Another fun match, but aside from the opening brawl on the entrance ramp there was little to differentiate this from the first two. The trainwreck spots felt more contrived than usual (also how does an avalanche falcon arrow only get a two count without anyone breaking up the pinfall? ). I'm not going to fault this too much since it was definitely entertaining, but hopefully they switch things up a bit for match 4. ***1/2"

[6.0] "Only 3 matches into their 'Best of 7' series and I'm already growing pretty bored of this matchup. The issue is obviously that they don't make any meaningful changes to truly make each iteration stand out, with it instead always feeling like just a lesser version of their previous match. There were two story-based things I liked and which I thought signified this match being more unique, those being (1) The Elite's especially aggressive start, playing off of their anger at being screwed out of their last two matches, and (2) Fenix and Penta feuding over whether to once again cheat to get the win or not. Sadly, those ideas really only got a minimal amount of time dedicated to them, which meant usually only 1 or 2 specific actions from the wrestlers to bring those plot points to life, since the match was otherwise the same spotfest as their last 2 matches. They featured the same annoyances look obvious cooperation and 'turn-taking' for the majority of their spots and exchanges. I can usually overlook that sort of thing if the resulting interactions are especially creative or athletic, but their technique was often pretty middling, and they were only doing slight variations of stuff they've all been doing on TV for the last 3 years (sometimes even completely copy-and-pasting certain spots and sequences). A few individual spots/sequences from Omega, Pac, or Fenix would briefly impress me, but this was otherwise just their usual stuff without anything to make it standout or must-see. ***"

[8.0] "How do they manage to make such a big show, it's just that every time they go out and make the day much more fun and brighter, the Elite was pressured by such a score in their series of matches, but they coped and were able to find the strength and even honestly won like real fighters. Death Triangle started its conflict against the background of a small hammer and they should get together, otherwise there is a big gap in their tactics. As before, every fighter has chemistry and production like young guys. Like! And have a good night."

[8.0] "I'm loving the different dynamic this series has presented so far with three matches. A palpable PPV clash, a hostile rematch in Chicago & a chaotic brawl here. The Elite brought the intensity from the get-go which ended up with DT emerging with the same tension as well. The pre-match brawl spilling all over the arena was done great whereas the bell-to-bell match was contested as expected - a highlight reel of the best moves of both trifecta groups. The hammer being the focal point of DT's friction is amazingly layered so far which keeps the interest towards the outcome still high. The ending was handled nicely to offer a win for The Elite as well as keeping the series gripping. 3.75 out of 5 stars!"

I really appreciate both teams mixing it up between matches, they've all been totally different. This had a lot of brawling, and all the shenanigans on the outside were used with a much more chaotic feeling than these teams usually give. *4.25*"

[7.0] "These guys are really putting to test that old maxim about these spotfest matches, that if you've seen one you've seen 'em all. I felt that this was better than the second match but it still felt like a match I'd already seen. Something seemed to fall apart a little at the end. I don't know if Pac's oversized mask got in the way or the other guys weren't in position to try to make the save, but it was strange to see Pac climb down off of the turnbuckle and attempt a normal cover instead of go for the Black Arrow. The hammer stuff seems weird to me considering the fact that Fenix used it in the first match. Now he's suddenly above that and chides Penta for it."

[9.0] "I think people are fatiguing on these matches already, but I personally think they've gotten better each time so far. The first match was a straight spotfest with a great finish to set the series up. The second match was an interesting Heel Elite showcase due to the Chicago crowd while establishing that Penta is 100% down for this hammer stuff. This match showed that animosity has formed and further pushed what these teams could do together with a more chaotic atmosphere and Fenix having a harder stance on the hammers while PAC is the most aggressive but working with an injury. The pace worked really well without the anti-Punk spots and the finish kept lots of options open while giving The Elite their first win. Marginally better than Match 2. I'm genuinely interested in the Winter Is Coming match, because they have to keep finding ways to keep this moving, and there's plenty in motion to do that. ****1/4+"

Then they get in the ring and wrestle the same match they always end up having, with the Kenny/Pac interactions always being the best as expected. Man why are we doing the stuff with Pac and the hammer again I thought we were past that? The ending was well done though I thought. Good match and I'd probably like it more had I not seen it so the past two weeks.***3/4"

If the match was about the brawl out and the after effects? Ok. But ignoring reality fora best of 7 with your most familiar foes is just jerking off. Entertaining but its not perfect."
Roderick II wrote on 01.12.2022:
[6.0] "This was quite disappointing. Although the idea of the elite attacking early is fine it rapidly turned into a bad mess, not in that was chaotic and everyone seemed to be hurting each other but rather that they were doing telegraphed spots in some cases with some sloppiness. There was some good stuff like the Fenix vs Penta dissension and the Pac vs Matt Jackson isolated final moments but a lot of this was them doing a bunch of spots we have seen them do a lot of time without much of a flow, almost like they felt they had to do a bunch to keep on par with previous matches. This creates a sense of repetition, lack of story and devaluates a lot of these spots. Perhaps the full Fite version comes off better."

[6.0] "The young bucks drag down the other 4 wrestlers in that ring. Their insistence on running spots with synchronized elements gets a nice "oooo" factor but ultimately doesnt make for anything but an acrobatic display. Kenny Omega by himself doesnt put on matches like this, nor do the Lucha Bros or PAC, but, its like the Bucks drag everyone they do matches with back to Reseda and the PWG style of exhibition/comedy. There were still some great spots in this match, and, the obvious quality of all around makes it still worthy of some rating, but, it wasnt even the best match on Dynamite that week. I don't think I can watch 3 more of these."

[8.0] "Would've been hard to follow up last week's amazing shenanigans, but still a very fun match. Every match is laid out differently, this one started in a brawl on the ramp, utter chaos. Kenny and Pac had some great moments too, Kenny was really going hard. Please give me an extended sequence where it's just him and Kenny during one of these. Fenix's stance against the hammer intensifies, causing problems between him and his mates after they lose. Great surprise ending, and the crowd was really into the whole match. Don't understand any confusion about the "roles" or the story in this feud. Fenix is a babyface who never wanted to use the hammer, even though he did in a panic at the PPV, and now wants his teammates to stop and fight clean. I'm also quite amused every time Knox insists they they stop the match and follow some kind of rule."

[9.0] "It was a typical Elite vs. Death Triangle match with spots at ringside as Rey Fenix and Penta argued over the use of the hammer. Kenny Omega dominated Penta inside the ring as he hit a powerbomb and a V-Trigger. The Death Triangle combined to take out all three members of the Elite. Penta hit the Fear Factor on Omega for a nearfall. Chaos ensued as all six men got inside the ring again. PAC hit an avalanche Falcon Arrow on Omega for a nearfall. Back from the commercial, PAC and Omega traded moves before both men collapsed on the mat. Rey Fenix and Nick Jackson got the hot tags as both men showcased their athleticism. Matt Jackson tagged in as the Bucks double-teamed and hit the More Bang for your Buck. PAC made the save as the Bucks lined up a BTE Trigger. All six men went inside the ring again and traded moves again. After more moves and chaos, the AEW EVPs emerged victorious"

[5.0] "I thought the action before the bell had some excitement to it but after that it started to feel messy and redundant to me. It did not have the atmosphere of the previous two matches in this series (especially last weeks), and the structure and pacing felt like it was all over the place. I also didn't really like or understand the story beat where Fenix is back to not wanting to use the hammer for whatever reason. It wasn't unwatchable, but I wasn't a fan, and I'd definitely consider it the worst match of the series so far. Finish was pretty cool, though."
TheLegitBoss wrote on 01.12.2022:
[8.0] "A pretty good main event between The Elite and Death Triangle here which was already better than last week (since it was basically The Elite trolling CM Punk and it wasn't interesting) but still a big disappointment compared to their Full Gear classic, I know it's silly to always compare but it's practically mandatory in a Best Of Seven Series setting like this one and forced to note that we're far from the perfection that was their first encounter in my humble opinion. It's far from being bad, it's even very good but with such wrestlers and when you see what they've already proposed, the standards are inevitably high and it wasn't at the exceptional level hoped for. The pre-match brawl wasn't necessarily necessary, it was quite short and the ending sucked. Talking about it like that you might think I hated it but actually I didn't, my expectations might have been too high but it's still an excellent trios match."

And Fenix actually stopping Penta from using the hammer was good; it shows that, without the hammer, The Elite seems to be the better team between the two. Excited to see where this series goes and how they can keep it fresh moving forward."

Anyway if you love superkicks, this is the match for you."

However, everyone is doing their best to come up with new ideas for different cities. All three of their matches so far have been different, and all three have been great. This one was initially on track to be at the level of their first encounter, but the second half of the match did lose some momentum, and the finish was used more as a build to their next meeting. ****1/4"
