[7.0] "This was a very good match. Curious thing about this match was that Samoa Joe wasn't even the X-Division Champion. Low Ki was the champion but the match hadn't aired yet on television. That was the reason why we didn't get title matches for TNA Championship and TNA Tag Team Championship. Why we got this, my guess is the card was weak and they knew they needed something to excite the fans. This was easily the best match of the night, with all 3 men going all out with the action. I liked that Kaz Hayashi was included, having spent time in WCW back in the day as part of the Jung Dragons. He added some variety in this match. ***3/4"

All three lads are on their game here though, pushing a serious pace and maximising their runtime for what's easily the match of the night. Hayashi and Ki trade some thunderous chops along the way, mixing it up with Joe yet never undercutting his status as The Big Man. Ki is still comically explosive at this point, which is insane considering well, everything. Speaking of such, this entire deal captures a whole lot of "what could've been, " pretty much standing alone as a match befitting this setting. It's awesome, and in terms of quality, Joe's last stand as a TNA grappler. ***3/4"

The match is a mixture of a slap-festival and TV quality with few highlights, garnished with a few smaller impacts, which are not delivered in a particularly demanding way. The audience in Tokyo is looking forward to a reunion with Low Ki and a visit from Samo Joe, and then there's such a pale routine. That's a bit of a shame."

The action was brutal, stiff, totally the kind of match that Japanese audiences were looking for and came to see at the time. The whole show was bad but I think with this match they at least got their money's worth, so that's a positive."
