[9.0] "I have basically 700 ratings or something higher in the cagematch, but this was the first time that I saw a mask vs mask match in my life and obviously it's the first time I'm rating one and well...impressive. The way they conduct the match making the things even more harder to imagine which one will be the one that is gonna win, and guess what? I already saw some matches from Ultimo Guerrero, I know he don't use a mask anymore, so the winner of this battle was obviously in my head already. Even with the elevated age, they delivered a match so emotional, so important, and the quick end outta nowhere was so well executed that almost made me pop up in the midnight hour. It was not the best match when it comes to workrate, but you cannot see that type of match and don't be at least a bit of emotional seeing a wrestler giving his mask, his history, his persona, his legacy, to the other. Awesome first experience."

[9.0] "The lucha libre mask vs. mask match, especially when it's between two well-established performers, is professional wrestling's greatest spectacle. A match in which you not only defeat your opponent, but also forever take a part of him is something that can only exist within this beautiful art. This one delivers on that - high drama from these two legends, with Guerrero trying to avoid la atlantida all match before finally getting caught at the end. As expected from a CMLL apuestas main event the post-match unmasking ceremony is nearly as great and emotional as the match itself."

Practically the entirety of the long third fall was literally just the following: lucha move into a pin, kickout, another lucha move into a pin, kickout, rinse and repeat over and over. They did tell an excellent story with Guerrero working heel and Atlantis struggling to get his finisher near the end. But it was the raw emotion from the insane crowd that pushed this into must-see territory. ****1/2"

Everything felt like a match turner. The La Atlántida being teased was awesome. The mat wrestling was excellent. The atmosphere added to it all. ****1/2"

[8.0] "This is a good example of a match that gets elevated by the outstanding drama & super crowd heat. I thought that Atlantis & Ultimo Guerrero were having a pretty solid match all the way though, but what puts it over the top as a borderline great match is the well done drama & the absolutely amazing atmosphere that the 2 created. ***3/4"

[9.0] "The story they told, the way the fans reacted to every little moment and the respect shown afterwards between these 2 warriors was giving me goosebumps. I haven’t even talked about any of the moves in this match, it is something that people need to watch because my words will never do a match of this magnitude justice. Majestic, marvelous and magical, people need to watch this match even if you are not a Lucha viewer, this is essential viewing for pro wrestling fans as this whole thing runs the gamut of emotions. From the entrances to the packed arena to the interactions between both men, if this doesn’t hit you in the gut you have no pulse. Of course you have mask ripping but I do not mind it in an environment like this. The first two falls are both men attempting to outsmart one another and the little old ladies in the front row are amazing putting over their love for Atlantis. Just the fact that Atlantis locked in Pulpo Guerrero on Ultimo Guerrero to tap him in the 2nd fall is insulting and ingenious at the same time. The fans are thunderous and electric throughout showering their praises on both men. The 3rd fall is dramatic the whole way through as near falls just build excitement and tension until a satisfying finish. This is not a sprint but is a patient reward at the end as two masters of their craft tell one of the best stories of the year. We still get tope suicidas and top rope powerbombs as well as the Atlantida but the delivery is over the top and this is excellence. The finish is what puts this thing into MOTYC stratosphere, the fans explode and the sight of families, grown men, women and children crying is heartbreaking. Two peers peerlessly putting together one of the best mask vs. mask matches in Lucha history, modern day or otherwise. Watch the aftermath of the match as that puts everything into perspective. If you have seen this before, great and if you haven’t great, just watch it now. I don’t know what else I can say to convince people otherwise"
