Austin Theory vs. Seth Rollins

[8.0] "A brutal banger. Theory was here to destroy Rollins, but his cockiness ultimately had the better of him. It's clearly a pain in the ass that they're so restrained like that due to their schedule. With no restriction, that could be even more great than it already does. These two lads have a clear chemistry and they showed in just 15 minutes of time. Cool counters, some great moves put on the mat and obviously good spots and sequences. A veteran vs. young punk psychology that really kicked some asses. It's that kind of fight that made Theory a credible threat."

[5.0] "The standing blockbuster was pretty cool but other than that the match was pretty mediocre for the most part. There was nothing exciting here but they did a bunch of cool reversals at the very end but still doesn't justify the high ratings. Pretty skippable."

[8.0] "Well, just what we need. Top match of a young fighter and a veteran. A match where there was impeccable wrestling and beautiful maneuvers, skillful submission in psychology and intense actions. Probably even worth starting the show with. Seth Rollins is a real workhorse of the division, and Theory is gaining experience - this is also useful!"

[9.0] "Not a fan of Heel v Heel matches usually but this match still was very good. Theory and Rollins seemed to have really good chemistry. Great pace, both men looked good technically, told a good story. Overall a lot of positives."

[8.0] "It was a tremendous match, fast-paced action from start to finish, with amazing sequences and great spots. Theory looked great, and it seemed like he was about to win the match, but he got overconfident and tried to do a Pedigree, so Rollins countered and hit a Stomp for the win."

[8.0] "Both men were having their backs a few years ago and it's a nice path for this match to be contested physically superior to the expectations. They traded super solid exchanges & experimented new sequences much to the approval of the fans throughout. Rollins won to maintain his streak as one of the hottest acts of the brand while this loss is nothing but an enhancing platform for Theory to tune his skills more effective. 3.75 out of 5 stars!"

[8.0] "This was probably Theory's best singles match to date. It was a strong back and forth contest with them pulling out some fun and creative stuff out in this one. That multiple trading pinfalls spot is always dumb once you trade it after about the 3rd time, but that's really my only complaint. They both hit each other with good at a certain point especially Theory. The near falls and sequences they had towards the end in this was really strong, heel-heel dynamic didn't really matter here since fans treat Seth as a face.****"

[9.0] "Tremendous TV match between Rollins and Theory that had absolutely no reason to be as good as it was and for me exceeded all expectations, even knowing Rollins' stellar current run and Theory's athletic ability in a ring I never thought it would be on this level. Theory may not be everyone's cup of tea, I'm skeptical of him because he's not a main eventer level dude, but let's be honest for a minute, he's great between the ropes, no question about it. Once you put aside his goofy gimmick and let him put on the boots in the ring, you enjoy and savour it because he's a super good worker. He and Rollins offered us a real banger like we like to see, the kind of match that won't make much noise and that's a shame because it was clearly a PPV level thing. Rollins really has that dawg in him and it's becoming amazing how incredible he is, another banger to add to his list."

[8.0] "Amazing match that is worth to comment by me, this was really fun to watch match with a lot of good moves and sequences, Theory and Rollins showed once again like usually, that they are amazing wrestlers, I give this match **** stars and 8/10"

[8.0] "4.25 Stars here, really entertaining match between these two. The history here really added to the match and we got some brilliant back and forth sequences."

[6.0] "I thought this was good, but not great. There were two beautiful forearm strikes (one from each man) that were my favourite part of the match. The pace was good and they had solid chemistry, however, I did not like the pin reversal sequence, it looked far too fake but that was my only major negative from the match, other than Theory losing again. Overall I'm somewhere between a 6 and 7 but I'm more inclined to round down."

The work was good, the story of Rollins being the veteran and theory the up-and-commer added to the match and made everything logical and worth investing in. More matches like this"

[8.0] "Austin Theory has been having a rough go lately in terms of his booking and audience reactions so having a match like this, even though he lost, really should be a big boost for him. I was confused why they were doing heel vs heel but this worked out incredibly well and Rollins the crowd treated Rollins like a face anyway."
