[7.0] "This was a pretty good match. At times Naito's pace is a little to fast for the match and Anderson has to slow him down put it was all in all a pretty decent match and an outcome that I would assume many people did not except at the time. ***3/4"

[7.0] "Very fine match. Nothing special here as it was just a back and forth moves match at a good pace. Not as good as their match in the previous years G1, but still a solid enough effort. The real highlight is the finish, ***3/4."

[4.0] "This was a fine all-action match, with Anderson dominating the majority of the contest, which was surprising given that he was the one who was going over; normally in such matches, the loser is the one who controls things. The finish was well executed, so the match had that going for it."

[8.0] "well-executed match, with Anderson taking the victory with another satisfying and complex counter from Naito's flying forearm into the Gun Stun, leaving both men dead even in the Blocks in the middle of Nowheresville, Japan."

[9.0] "This was a great match, with both Naito and Anderson looking great in it. Great back and forth action that worked in the strengths of both workers and lead to a really exciting match that, up to the finish, kept a lot of uncertainty going so you didn't know who was going to win. One of the better matches from this G1."
