[7.0] "Definitely a good match but with these two you'd hope for a bit more. The story of Nakamura not taking Naito seriously and Naito fighting for respect is a great one, but eventually it just feels like both guys trading moves until one wins. All-time great booking to have Goto, Naito & Okada all pick up major wins on a show called The New Beginning, like that's just really great foreshadowing. 3.5 stars"

The latter manages to get back into the match thanks to some interesting and creative maneuvers (he literally flies during the match). The end leaves a little to be desired because of the last exchanges before the finish. Well worth a look. ***"

[4.0] "There was some nice creativity early on where Nakamura took Naito to the stage and was going to leave him only for Naito to pop up and hit a lovely dropkick where he looked like he was flying (seriously, go watch the match for the spot). Nakamura is pretty ruthless with his kicks and knees to the body in the match but he really wasn? t bringing a ton to the match. His work on top felt a bit lifeless to me. He didn? t even try and carry it with his mannerisms. Naito was fairly unspectacular apart from the aforementioned flying. I found his nearfalls to be undramatic and he lacked any babyface fire. Flat Nakamura performance, Naito was Naito. **"

[9.0] "This was a great, hard-hitting match. It went at a great pace as well. I enjoyed Nakamura bringing out Naito's anger which led to a lot of fun exchanges. Its a shame the crowd wasn't really that into it and that definitely lowered the score a little. If this match happened today I'm sure the crowd would have really loved it. 8. 5/10"

[6.0] "A pretty good match, but way disappointing considering the two men involved in this contest. The match itself didn't have very much heat, and therefore, the match suffered big time. Nakamura did land some brutal looking strikes in this contest and Naito had some shining moments as well. Good match but I expected better. ***1/4"
