[6.0] "AKIRA is further proof that Japanese shampoo is pure sorcery. This is an incredibly solid well worked match that is enjoyable but will not live long in the memory."
[6.0] "This was very satisfying. Two guys that have a great set of fundamentals went out there and worked a believable contest which felt organic. It's clear they went into the match with the bare minimum planned out. The match felt exhibition-like for a good while with barely any strikes thrown, just a constant state of holds countered into holds and so on. There was no wasted motion, which is vital when working a match like this. There was nothing that looked half-assed or ineffective. We did get some heat towards the end as the match temporarily broke into a striking contest, but not for long. I loved how the work that Ishikawa did on AKIRA's left arm lead him to hurt himself after hitting the splash, and being unable to make a cover. The finish was a nice swerve too and caught me by surprise. Very good stuff, but not in great territory. (3.25*)"
