[8.0] "Big Mike finally wins the big one. Great match for Elgin to finally overcome Adam Cole and odds to become ROH champion. Mostly a moves match with some unnecessary intererence towards the end, but the end result was correct so it doesn't bring down the match a whole lot. The match tried to be a little too epic with the finisher kick outs, but it wasn't to the point of annoyance so its forgivable. Elgin should have won the belt years before, but alas this was a fine result too, ****1/4."

It had a lot of no selling, just trading moves & stuff, which is very typical for a Michael Elgin match these days. There was some fun stuff with Cole trying to target Elgin's leg, but that's it. Not a fan of this match."

[9.0] "What a match! Tons of false finishes, an incredible superkick to Sinclair’s face, and just an amazing ride from start to finish. I thought ROH was in danger of overbooking once the run-ins started, but there was just the perfect amount of outside drama. Ms. Chif getting involved was great, and War Machine getting Elgin’s back was also well-placed. Everything built up to a great crescendo. The crowd really got into Elgin as things progressed, and the moment he won really put the crowd over the edge."
