It felt like Morishima was just standing around waiting for Pearce to go through his routines. Morishima's reign saw some unexpected great challengers with midcarders like Brent Albright and Erick Stevens stepping up to the plate and delivering huge, but Pearce unfortunately was not one of them. There's a shoot interview with Gabe Sapolsky and Adam Pearce where Gabe even references this match and how disappointed he was in it. |

Pearce did not look very impressive and got in more offence than what would have been ideal. Nothing too bad and short enough that it was still easy to get through, but this would have been better off as something more similar to the Jimmy Rave squash earlier in the night. |
