Samoa Joe vs. Sting

[3.0] "Fucking hell is there anything slightly interesting on this show? Sting and Samoa Joe again have a pretty mediocre match. Walk and brawl to start, weak strikes and a lot of rest holds. Sting has no gas tank on him at this point and Joe is creatively at a low point in his career. A recipe for disaster. The match goes nowhere until Taz appears as Joe's new trainer which causes Sting to slowly let go of the Scorpion Deathlock for no apparent reason and Joe hulks up only to get immediately cut off. Taz has done nothing at this point but Mike Tenay insists he's barking orders at Joe. Joe attempts a Muscle Buster on Sting but Sting can't get into position and Joe is not capable of forcing Sting into a move like that nor should he attempt such a thing. Joe lazily puts on the Coquina Clutch and Sting taps out. Taz has still done nothing. What the fuck was even the point"

[4.0] "wasnt to bad, just kinda a flat match with a flat finish, Taz reveal was cool and the match was one of the better on the night"

[4.0] "This was an okay match, which is both the best and worst that I can say about it. It did involve two guys who are excellent workers. But it was a "meh" kind of match overall."

[2.0] "Sting was fifty years old at this point and Samoa Joe was at his fattest, with an unflattering crew cut, weird fake tattoo facepaint, and goofy brown tribal(? ) pants. So, as one would expect, this was bad. The ending completely broke down, with the intention of the sudden appearance of Tazz causing Joe to break the Scorpion Deathlock, fire up, and beat Sting; what actually happened was that Tazz waddled out, Sting just kind of let go, Joe got up and yelled, a hideously awkward failure to do a Muscle Buster occurred as neither man was physically capable of doing the move, and the match mercifully ended with a choke afterward."

[3.0] "Both men are some of the biggest stars ever and they really could've done more with what they're both really capable of here in this match and the finish was bad."

[6.0] "Former member Sting is on the revenge tour against Main Event Mafia. The first stop is a bumpy one with The Icon himself not really clicking with Samoe Joe. The usually crisp moves and psychology offered by both are not fully present resulting in some messy spots. Tazz's appearance falls completely flat and adds nothing to an overall okay, but underwhelming match."

[5.0] "At this point it truly becomes clear how cursed this show was. Samoa Joe and Sting are great wrestlers, and Sting has proven in recent years how much he still has in the tank, but there's just nothing here. A slow, plodding, uninteresting affair built around the debut of a long-retired Tazz as Joe's mentor. We saw how well this storyline COULD work in Lucha Underground, with Penta and Vampiro, but there's just none of that energy in the air here, which is a damn shame, because again everyone involved here kind of rules. Shows like this are a reminder why LOLTNA exists."

[4.0] "Something was in the air on this night because even Sting and Joe have a boring match with a silly, cliche finish. **"

[3.0] "Wow this was bad, mostly a punch and move match with some holds, a horrible reveal and "distraction" and then a failed Muscle Buster attempt so Joe just does the clutch - *1/2"

[4.0] "Oh look, another dull nothingburger from two great talents. This is almost overalmostthis main event should be interesting."

[5.0] "This was a half decent match which means it is probably the second best match on this show. Spoiled by Taz's music hitting while Sting had Joe in a Scorpion Deathlock so he let go of it. Dude, just keep it on and you will win, If Taz gets in the ring then you win by DQ anyway. Sigh."

[4.0] "**Π- lol quite good ; which is really really bad for the way the shows been. Taz is the guy that Joe has been consulting. Meh. Nothing memorable occurred and it will be forgotten by the next pay Per view"
