[8.0] "A phenomenal moment, but the match is only four stars for me. There's some problems here, I wish Bryan was more involved in the match. Due to the nature of the story, the opening and post interference stretch are taken up by an Orton/Batista match which is heel v heel and doesn't really pop the crowd unless it's a nearfall in which case the crowd REALLY pop. Bryan performance is fantastic though, him taking out the Authority in a great suicide dive was a great spot and him selling that shoulder from the last match is very good."

[10.0] "You know, sometimes I hate overbooking a main event match like this and adding in all these external factors, but man, does it really make you wanna see Bryan win so much more watching all this nonsense go on around him. Watching Triple H, Stephanie, and that crooked ref Scott Armstrong all get beaten up and then watching Triple H take a sledgehammer is beautiful. The Batista bomb into the RKO, brutal, just straight brutal. Daniel Bryan getting up off the stretcher to get back into the match just keeps building that true underdog nature that made you want to see Bryan win. Randy and Batista both get in their spots and give the crowd their money's worth while Bryan is down. I love the fact that everybody and their brother wanted Batista to lose this match. I mean, the clear favorite was Bryan, but not a soul wanted Batista. Then we get the miracle on Bourbon Street, and it really just makes you want to pump your fist in the air and scream yes, because watching Bryan win is just such a great cherry on top of a damn solid Wrestlemania."

[9.0] "It's ten years apart (you know what I'm referring to), and it's just as magical. This is the culmination of one the greatest and most genuine underdog stories ever. It's the man of the people, the oppressed workhorse and uncrowned king who got screwed over one too many times, taking on the oppressors in a long overdue opportunity at winning back the gold that was disgracefully stolen from him. With him having to "earn" this match earlier that night, being the outcast and being treated as such, his fire shines bright without a doubt. The drama is off-the-charts! First the shenanigans with Triple H and Stephanie showing up with a crooked ref, Daniel taking that ref out and taking Triple H out with a sledgehammer, then Randy and Batista teaming up, Batista Bomb + RKO combo on the announce table, then it's Orton and Batista going at it for a bit while Daniel is stretched out. Daniel comes back, there's a pair of scary nearfalls, and most of all, Daniel Bryan completes the magical underdog story after taking on three of WWE's most powerful figures ever in one night. Miracle on Bourbon Street indeed. ****1/4"

[9.0] "It's a great match that you can break down into chapters. The first Chapter featured all three guys battling it out with some good nearfalls as they built up some cool spots. The second Chapter happened as Triple H showed up to interfere while Batista and Orton teamed up to put Bryan through the table in what was a painful-looking bump. The final Chapter featured the comeback of Bryan as he tried to fight through the pain like the underdog face that he was and the crowd rallied behind him while he did it. Bryan getting the win drew one of the loudest ovations I've ever seen. I thought it was a smart move to have Triple H and Stephanie show up at ringside during the match. It made the match even more unfair for Bryan. I know some fans might think it hurt the match because they didn't need interference, but it came off as a nice payoff to Bryan's long angle with Triple H."

The action really only has life when Bryan is involved and obviously he's the nucleus that makes everything go in not only this match, but this whole show. The early parts are solid but nothing to write home about, but it does pick up once you get the HHH, Stephanie and Armstrong interferences. It's a lot of smoke and mirrors and while it absolutely works for the crowd it's not my favorite thing in the world. The finish is great and obviously everything that follows is a historic moment. Having learned about this whole story years after the fact, it doesn't quite have the excitement I'm sure it would have if I watched live or didn't know the outcome but it is a breathtaking visual. I think the Hunter match to open the show is much better but this is still good stuff."

He looked so good with those titles. Also love te addition of legends in ringside. Batista teasing us with his pyro only to bring the spotlight. The CM Punk chant when HHH came out to cause Bryan the match. Th crowd was on fire. Bryan with the sledgehammer to HHH. OMG, that was insane. RKO-Batista Bomb combo, so cool. Batista with the nearest of nearfall. And before that literally speared Bryan's head. Randy with the nearest of nearfall aswell. That whole end sequence was so good. Bryan tapping out Batista while Randy looked on from the side. Cole with one of the best commentary quotes ever. Imagine having a resume of beating Randy, Batista & HHH at Mania. All thanks to CM Punk."

The finale. Those moments were absolutely classic. But the match AROUND it wasn't that good. It just didn't go anywhere. The three of them barely interacted together at all. Someone was always out of commission. There was nothing particularly exciting to get you on the edge of your seat either. This match just felt like a giant story segment for Bryan with a little bit of wrestling in between. It's an incredible moment, but a pretty mediocre match. If it wasn't for the moments, I'd have given this 5 points easily. The finale of this match is worth the praise. But lets just say that there is a reason the ending moments are really all people talk about from this one."

Felt like a re-hash of WM20, but with a hotter crowd and inferior workers. Batista and Randy being the obstacles for DB to overcome just doesn't feel right... I don't know how to explain it but this whole match just doesn't feel organic. I ultimately think it's good and nothing more than that."

Who'da thunkit? ! ? ! ? ! I hate the s*** butt method of trying to tell the coexisting story. It always bores me. The moments where the crowd is desperate for Bryan to win, are magical. Unfortunately, you have to watch Orton without anything to prove and Batista on a part-time schedule, blundering through the rest of this match together. Their brawling with one another really is terrible."

[8.0] "[3.75*] Great match, just not as great as the opener. They went all in with the fan service for this one, so they had to build a climax for Bryans win, I get that, and Orton/Batista did a really great job on their control segments with the only problem being that the crowd did not give a fuck about anything other than Daniel Bryan. They had that big 1-on-1 staredown when Bryan was (fake) getting out of the arena by the medical team and the stadium was silent. Nobody fucking cared. The work was still good and I actually think Orton was the MVP of the match because Bryan was obviously selling injuries, but the crowd could not care less about Randy, unfortunately lol. They did a couple of nearfalls to bring some emotion. A RKO, a Batista Bomb anyways, Bryan made Batista tap-out for one of the biggest pops ever and a moment we will never forget."

[2.0] "Firstly, I want to state that I think that the end result of this match was one of the best in Wrestlemania history and also a pretty important one in Danielson's career. His victory here would basically open the door for many other wrestlers in his position, someone who was seen by the WWE (Mostly Vince) a upper mid carder by the company given his moment to shine. I think Bryan's performance here is really good which is to be expected as he has always been great at playing the underdog that the audience wants to see win. The problem with this match boils down to the other two performers in this match. Orton is the biggest negative in this match, his brawls with Batista pretty much bring the match to a screeching halt. Batista is ok in this and puts Danielson over at the end of the match, but when he interacts with Orton the make slogs. The powerbomb+RKO is cool but Batista just stands around for awhile instead of actually putting anyone into the ring. Usually I'm not so critical on things 'making sense' but here not only did it make no sense at all but it also really made the match hard to watch. A good Triple Threat should have all three wrestlers work in fluidity, but Danielson was the only one here that was holding this match together, and besides the ending, it was pretty unsatisfying."

[8.0] "Batista & Orton are frustrated that the match was made a triple threat so they both target Bryan. This match's strength doesn't come from the in ring action, it comes from how well it plays with the crowd, by stretchering Bryan out, the times where Orton and Batista almost steal his victory and then when he finally wins, it seems like there's going to be a riot. A true star maker, despite the in ring work being pretty slow."

While you could argue that Daniel Bryan vs Triple H from earlier in the night was the better match, this is obviously the bigger moment. After drifting apart from it when I was younger, I was one of the people drawn in by the Yes Movement by that plucky little Aberdonian Washingtonian. And, well it made me a Danielson fan for life. The crowd was still burnt out from the Streak being snapped an hour or so ago, and they needed something to drag them back in. And the way the crowd comes electric for the Knee Plus - as it was called then - on Batista followed by the Yes Lock and the tap-out is just man, it still gives me goosebumps. There are many brilliant matches I've seen before and after this night. But there is only one Miracle on Bourbon Street."

Batista and Orton were at their laziest here and Bryan isn't my favorite so everything to me just felt super dull and boring. The Batista Bomb into an RKO was really cool and I'm happy that the D-bry fans got their win, but it did nothing for me. It just felt like all three of these guys were on a different planet from one another. Like seriously I can't remember a single moment besides the table combo and the tap out finish."

[9.0] "It's a testament to how popular Daniel Bryan was that he was still able of generating a response from the audience after the streak had been broken. The early portion of the match does struggle a bit as the crowd are still in shock, but the participants do an excellent job getting the crowd full on board by the time they reach the finish. The tension begins to really rise after Bryan takes out the Authority. Everything feels like it's beginning to come together once Orton and Batista resort to forming an uneasy alliance to take out Bryan, and the match continues to pick up momentum from there on. You could argue that it's a bit overbooked, but I think that they really needed to go all in here to make this work after the crowd had already seen the streak end, and I believe that it's inarguable that they succeeded by the end of the match. Bryan's title win is, of course, a hard earned and cathartic moment, and as somebody who had been watching him since his time in ROH it felt very special to me. It's one of the greatest conclusions to a WrestleMania that we've ever seen, and the match was expertly crafted to ensure that it would still resonate despite being placed in the unenviable position of following the end of the streak."

The Batista Bomb into RKO on the table move is hard to watch though because it is not executed that well, and the way Orton landed it would honestly be more believable if he was the one being carried away by medics rather than Bryan. Parts of this are fantastic, parts are just your average PPV match. The ending and having Daniel come out on top is really amazing to see though."

You have one of the greatest in-ring performers of all-time spending 2/3 of the match laying outside the ring or on a stretcher, and to me that is no way to book his Wrestlemania moment. I get the story they were trying to tell, but this match could have actually been awesome if they let Bryan actually be a key part of the action. The way they booked it actually makes it look somewhat flukey as Batista and Orton are the onese fighting for most of the match, with Bryan just sort of sneaking in the Yes-lock at the end. Idk, I just hated the way this match was booked and I think it's insanely overrated just because Bryan won."

When Batista tapped out to the yes lock it was such a perfect ending though since Batista had won the royal rumble that Bryan should have won. Also, it doesn't help that this is inevitably compared to the XX triple threat, which is perhaps the greatest of all time. This doesn't come close as a match, but it's easily the better moment."

When you take a step back and look at it you can see that there's quite a few places where the action drags a little, most notably at the beginning (where the crowd is still kind of out of it having just seen the end of the streak) and in the aftermath of the table spot (fair play to Randy for finishing the match after that bump, by the way). But it's still great to watch; amazing crowd engagement, some fantastic nearfalls and a phenomenal effort from Bryan having already wrestled for 25 minutes with HHH on the same night. The finish is incredibly cathartic and a brilliant culmination to a storyline which, staggeringly, the company didn't want to culminate at all. Great match, just not as out-of-this-world as I once believed."

Orton Batista sections were usually good brawls but the crowd didn't care. Mid-way point Triple H and Stephaine try to screw Bryan out of the title but it would end up backfiring as he took out Stephaine with a suicide dive and Triple H with a hammer. The biggest problem this had was during the Orton/Batista sections, as the crowd didn't seem to care about anything not involving Bryan, subsequently causing their segments to feel heatless. Triple H and Stephanie, along with the crooked ref Scott Armstrong, made their way to the ring at the 15 mins mark, looking to screw DB out of the title win, only to get taken out by an amazing suicide dive instead! Orton and Batista eventually got things under control, double-teaming DBryan with an incredible Batista Bomb/RKO combo on the announce desk. They teased a stretcher job for Bryan just to play with the crowd's emotion a bit, but he quickly fought his way back to the ring. Bryan submitting Batista as the Mercedes-Benz Superdome became UNGLUED was a super satisfying payoff to this eight-month-long story lasting from the summer of last year. [7.0] "Entertaining three-way between Bryan, Orton and Batista here which was certainly convincing in the idea of solidifying the storyline between Daniel Bryan and the Authority but which is certainly one of the most overrated WrestleMania main event in terms of match quality. Don't get me wrong I can totally understand, it's pretty obvious that this match lives up to its reputation thanks to its epic result that everyone expected and that Bryan winning the title in New Orleans is one of the greatest moments of the whole decade but I found the match itself a bit awkward or at least not at all up to my expectations. It's very rare to say this but what saved this match from being really boring was the overbooking, because we often tend to grumble when WWE overdoes it but here it was a great overbooking that made sense with the story and added some much needed drama around Bryan. Bryan kicking out of the Batista Bomb was a huge nearfall followed by a dive on HHH, Stephanie and Scott Armstrong which was another cool spot. I also liked the idea of having Bryan stretchered off after the hard bump he took on the commentary table to make the fans think the miracle won't happen, also credit to the great job of the commentators from the entrances to the match itself who only underestimated Bryan by saying he had almost no chance of winning. His comeback was insane with the crowd totally carrying him, some believable false finish with Orton kicking out of a Batista Bomb, Batista kicking out of a RKO, both of them managing to get out of the Yes Lock... those kind of moments that build up the suspense even more and make the outcome even more magical. I must admit that these last minutes were excellent and that Bryan's victory was amazing to conclude one of the best stories this company has ever done, but man before Triple H's implication this was so uninteresting and painfully long."
