Gunner vs. James Storm

[7.0] "This was a pretty good match. The feud with James Storm was the best stuff that Gunner did in TNA. Not only was it a simple and well done feud, but Gunner had his best matches with Storm and it looked like he was really improving in the ring. This was a fun match filled with weapons and plunder. There were two spots that were clearly inspired by Storm's match with Chris Harris at Sacrifice 2007. One was the spear that Gunner gave Storm through the ropes and through a table outside the ring. Second was when Storm went to hit Gunner with a beer bottle, but Gunner grabbed one as well and hit Storm first with it. After that, he then hit Storm with the Gun Rack, his version of the F-5, for the win. ***1/2"

[7.0] "I never thought I'd enjoy a Gunner/Jaxson Ryker match but here we are, back then he was decent & improving and it resulted in this big action-packed brawl between him and good ol' James Storm. Storm was always phenomenal in stipulation matches like this and you could feel the intensity in what they were offering. It wasn't perfect, but it was the kind of brawl you'd expect to see from this rivalry at the time, and it was great fun."

[6.0] "It's a decent brawl but it feels very scaled down from what TNA was doing even a couple of years earlier. This was really crying out for some blood to help put it over the top."

[7.0] "It was better than there match at Lockdown that's for sure. Great brawl very violent (especially the trash can shots), Gunner is getting much better and it;s no surprise considering he is working with Storm, plus TNA are doing a great job of making people actually care about the guy. My only problem with this match is that it should have been saved for the PPV at the end of April rather than being given away for free on TV. ***1/2"
