[8.0] "The build-up for the match is as simple as it is effective, with Rollins' interview comments hitting the mark. Still, I can't say that at any point in the match I get the feeling that Riddle could win it. Nonetheless, this is consistently entertaining and technically challenging, even if it's not an absolute slam dunk. The finish may seem unspectacular, but it is well thought out. A good match at the right moment in the show."
[8.0] "The best and most complete match of the night in my opinion, this was an easy-watch, the pace is so cool that looks like a sprint, doesn't seem to have 17 minutes at all. The moves were well executed, and the match had a nice little story being told, with Rollins mocking and despising Riddle, doing Orton moves, telling him that he's a nobody, and Riddle losing his mind and losing the match because of that. A great match with drama and emotion, I just thought they could sell pain a little better, but that's a detail - {***3/4}"
[8.0] "A very good match that is an intense brawl and really let the world know what Riddle is capable of and that Rollins is still one of the best in the world. My personal favorite spot of the match was Riddle's Springboard Floating Bro, or his counter of Riddle's Superplex/Falcon Arrow combo with a Fishermanbuster. The story being told was that Riddle's anger was boiling over so his emotion getting the best of him in the end and getting caught with multiple stomps was a really smart ending. Solid 3.5 stars."
[8.0] "omg this match is incredible. Criminally underrated in my opinion. And the story leading up to this show was phenomenal. Finally giving us fans what we want and letting us see a legit serious side of riddle was so refreshing. This is the only version of riddle that legit could be a world champion. It sucks that pretty much directly after this show/feud riddle stopped with this serious side sadly. Ive slept on this match i dont remember enjoying this as much as i did in this rewatch in all honestly i love this match. Rollins was on fire in 2022 legit this is probably the feud of the year in wwe (im prolly forgetting something) but yeah i enjoyed this match so so much. Rollins winning was the right choice getting us to the fight pit match at the next ppv. And the super finish that rollins had to use was super smart keeping riddle looking like a badass. I feel like this match deserves more love. You know you have your self an incredible PPV show when THIS match as good as it is is the 3rd best match on the show. This match deserves more attention. 4.25 stars."
[9.0] "My favorite match of the night. They doesnt need to have a title fo make such a wonderful battle. Both of them looked great at the end of the match, pretty strong, and for sure this let the path to continue their rivalry, or to end it today. Really nice match. [****1/2]"
[8.0] "For me this match is very underrated and overshadowed by the fantastic sheamus and gunther match on the card and loads of other ppvs this would be the match of the night unfortunately not this one"
[8.0] "A fantastic match. Not as good as the work Rollins did with Cody Rhodes earlier in the year but still very entertaining. It was intense because of Rollins' trash talk towards Riddle, bringing his kids into it just p**sed him off. Riddle managed to get lots of offence in but should've got in some more near falls. This had a big fight feel and as such we saw Rollins break out the Pedigree which is cool. He also got some heel heat by hitting Randy Orton's DDT. They got him some good near falls but didn't end the match. Good booking choice. It was good to see Rollins win. Riddle didn't need the win and it doesn't hurt to lose to a multi-time world champion. It was still a good performance for Riddle."
[9.0] "An amazing match, the best I've seen for Riddle. His agility and quickness is always amazing but, here he manages to look more serious, and angrier, than ever. Rollins is perfect in his manipulative role : using Riddle's and Orton's moves and Riddle's personal life to get into his head. 9/10."
[7.0] "Very good match, I was really hyped for it because of the buildup. Rollins' character is so irritating, but when he gets serious he's one of the best wrestlers in the world. Flawless action, some nice back and forths with Riddle looking angrier than usual. The only thing that bothered me was the finish, when it looked like Matt waited to much time for the stomp. Other than that a perfectly good bout."
[9.0] "Clash At The Castle is one of my favorite aesthetics for any wrestling show ever. While this match didn't capitalize on the atmosphere as much as Gunther/Sheamus or Drew/Roman, I thought the match was clearly elevated by its environment. This match had a weird build, which was notable for one moment that in retrospect feels out of place, and the opening five minutes of this match are more or less average. For that reason, I can understand why some people find it hard to get into this match. For me, I found the last 10 minutes of this match phenomenal and for that reason can't justify a lower score. That part of the match is when Seth adapts to the style of Matt Riddle and things become slower and more physical. I thought Riddle's performance in this one was great. Between the pandemic, RK Bro, and various personal issues, we're yet to see what a Riddle singles push looks like, but his matches from this period with Seth and Roman make me think that there's a ton of potential in it. ****1/2"
"The build of this match is so funny to me. Seth makes Riddle angry cus he's smarter and Riddle is a pothead (idk) and divorced and his kids hate him or something. The match is fun and I love when Riddle just goes "screw it, I'm gonna bash this sucker's skull in with a chair", because you see he's an angry pothead."
[8.0] "Seth Rollins vs Matt Riddle I is *so good! * I genuinely remembered absolutely nothing about this match, so I was blown away by how much fun it was. The build seemed pretty weak, with Rollins I think just randomly attacking Riddle after he lost to the KING Omos. But this is also the build that gave us Rollins mocking Matt "Single Father" Riddle. I actually really like Riddle. People seem to be over the "Bro" shtick and I think they made him a bit too rookieish, but he's a great wrestler, and can be a lot of fun. This match is waaay faster than any of the Edge matches right from the get go. Both are super quick in the ring, and Seth's flashy in ring style, plus his amazing selling, makes for a great styles clash with Riddle's MMA experience. Plus this match had 2 all time gears, with Patrick Star Riddle and Elton John Rollins. Seth is so fucking good at being an asshole, stealing Randy's moves was great. This played into the finish, with him pissing off Riddle enough to capitalize on a mistake (not without Riddle grabbing Seth by the beard and slapping the shit out of him, though). Definitely check this one out, I had no expectations but was very pleasantly surprised."
[8.0] "Great back and forth match between two of WWE's best in-ring wrestlers. Riddle is great at being a likable face, while Rollins' character work is great as usual. Although this was their first match of the trilogy, I would also say this one was the best. Rollins winning was the right call and, with the amount of matches on the SummerSlam card already, I'm glad they pushed this back to this event, as it probably got a lot more time here than it would have in Nashville."
[8.0] "These are two very talented wrestlers and it was great to see them get at each other in the ring. The back and forth in this match was very good and I could never quite tell who was going to win. Definitely one of the better Matt Riddle matches in recent memory and not a bad showing for Seth either."
[2.0] "That "off the air" segment, with Riddle losing his cool & cussing out Seth only for him immediately to come out on a scooter, smiling & dressed like a character from SpongeBob was certainly a change of pace. And straight faced Seth just straight up telling Riddle that his entire family life collapsed was a great heel bit and then he comes out in a Masked Singer outfit laughing at fuck all. Kind of ruins things a bit. This was your usual Rollins performance which I'm not a fan of."
[8.0] "Really good but I know that they could do a 5 stars Classic. They done a fluid wrestling match but I didn't see the hate betwenn this two men and Rollins was too in Attack too."
[9.0] "I love both of these wrestlers, that consistently produce great matches. Seth's in-ring ability is unmatched, although Matt was also just as entertaining."
[9.0] "Seth Rollins the the epitome of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" and his stellar and safe in ring style shone in this contest with Matt Riddle. A great back and forth contest built upon some allegedly real heat, what's not to like about this?"
[8.0] "Seth Rollins is most certainly one of WWE's in-ring MVP's, has been for years now, and this match was no different. It was good action, with bright colours and pomp, exactly what you can expect from Seth. The closing spot was great as well."
[9.0] "After a solid 2 years of some of the best in-ring work of his career, It is wonderful to finally see Seth pick up a win in an absolutely beautiful match with Riddle, who continues to establish himself as THE up-and-coming midcard act and future main eventer. For a feud with not much meat on the bones at first, these two found a fucking amazing way to create more build in the final weeks leading up to the PPV with the interview segment. Great stuff all together, fucking great stuff."
[9.0] "This might just be the best in ring year for Seth Rollins that I have ever seen, and it is genuinely crazy how much he has lost this year and yet each and every single match he is in he makes it count, and this is no different. I was never the biggest fan of Matt Riddle, but if one thing is for sure, it's that both Riddle and Seth have extremely great chemistry. After a great year he has had with a whole lot of losses, Seth finally got a well deserved PPV win and both men involved showed up and showed out. [****1/4]"
[6.0] "I enjoyed watching this match, but it was not the match it should've been. This build was clearly leading up to a gritty and brutal fight that we just didn't get. Instead, we got a spot-filled, Takeover style match that wouldn't have been out of place on an indy show. If we had gotten this match at Summerslam before things had gotten more personal, this would've been a showstealer. But the build to this match implied something that Rollins and Riddle just didn't give us. Not to mention the fact that neither of them even changed their mannerisms in their entrance. ***3/4"
[4.0] "I really did not care for this one except for the final spot. I thought the feud was boring and I just wasn't into the match. Sick ending though. And Seth Rollins really needed the win so I'm glad he got it"
[8.0] "This was a really solid match. Riddle and Rollins did a great job selling their hatred for each other and they pulled off some great moves. Rollins' entrance gear was great and I loved the cuts from Rollins obnoxiously dancing to the ring to Riddle staring at Rollins with pure hatred in his eyes."
[9.0] "This was the match I was the most excited for, thanks to that promo where Seth took a dump on Riddles personal life. The match went exactly as I hoped, and I truly hope there? s one more match against these two. There? s so much potential here. Riddle coming out in the scooter draped in Patrick Star themed gear kind of took a bit of the seriousness away from the situation. It would be more effective to have Riddle come out to fight without being the bro for a bit. No fun and games, just straight up fighting. Seth is one of my favorite wrestlers, and I totally love the flamboyant outfits and dedication to his character. I wish this match was No DQ, but they did the best they could within the confines of the ring. Curb stomp off the second rope was brutal. One of the strongest matches of the night for sure."
[8.0] "A hail of emotions. Just from the beginning to the end, the fighters knocked out the whole soul with throws and punches. Matt Riddle has some kind of severe trauma on the basis of his wife and the whole family history, he revealed all the emotions in vain and showed where to beat. As a result, mentally he lost, as well as physically. Seth came as a predator and did everything for the sake of victory, impressing everyone very much with his work. A very interesting match with a potential window to continue. Curb Stomp with 2 ropes was super strong and in fact Riddle received plot protection, because in fact he lost after 3 crown techniques. Everyone was in the black, both fighters and fans."
[4.0] "Action in this match was good, but after a certain point everything they were doing felt just meaningless - the way I see it, Riddle just didn't succeed at winning the crowd and didn't come across like a babyface you want to see win, which made the finish make perfect sense - when it counted the most, Rollins used biggest chance he had and got the win and tbh I wasn't interested in seeing a rematch."
[7.0] "A total mess. Riddle got in 90% of the offense which Rollins barely sold and recovered easily from. Rollins did a few of his big moves near the end and got the pin by basically outsmarting Riddle and not really being a heel at all. This basically buried Riddle as inferior to a past-his-prime Rollins who does about 5 moves. The psychology was bad even if the workrate was exciting. I'm surprised HHH allowed a bad match like this but Rollins is one of his closest proteges and Riddle apparently has tons of heat. But this wasn't "best for business". Rollins is over because his character is super protected, he's political and married to one of the biggest stars in the company but he's really generic in the ring now and will be really useless in a few years compared to a fresh star like Riddle who is 3x the athlete. Rollins could've made Riddle a big star with this match but he got himself over at his expense."
[9.0] "Great match here, fast-paced, you could feel the hatred between them. I loved how Seth performed Riddle moves, always playing mind games, which eventually worked. Rollins never misses and Riddle is becoming a megastar."
[8.0] "They put such intensity in their rivalry but not in their encounter. Nevertheless, that delivered. We got Seth "Rocketman" Rollins who rent for free in Riddle's head, who finally put some intensity after being pushed and pushed by Rollins. Great psychology, though. Rollins also used some great arsenal and it had a meaning. Detail for detail, I enjoyed it. Riddle trying to humiliate Rollins with submissions and MMA craft was great as well. The finish was also something, so smart."
[6.0] "Well worked but felt ill-fitting to the storyline, should have been far more aggressive and violent throughout, instead of being structured like a normal Rollins match. When Riddle was throwing those strong elbows, the match was at its finest."
[8.0] "This probably should've had a no DQ stipulation but this was still really good. The start with Riddle being all aggressive while going after Rollins was a good way to start this off. The middle of this had some cool counters and transitions, albeit some of them a bit sloppy, it should've been more intense though. They picked up the intensity towards the end, Rollins hitting a bro Derek was great. The ending was pretty well done with Riddle losing due to Seth getting in his head.****1/4"
[8.0] "Two good workers putting on a pay-per-view quality match. Loved the psychology Seth Rollins used during the match. The curb stomp from the turnbuckle looked absolutely devastating."
[10.0] "I think this was a fantastic match was really fun and had some great moments it was cool to see rollins hit the stomp from the top rope just an insanely good match hopefully they have another match at extreme rules. ****3/4"
[9.0] "The best match of the evening. It is still not done with this storyline, but the outcome was kinda surprising, but then it fuels the next match. Seth's entrance gear was kinda funny with those wings. The close near finishers en the attempts also great."
[10.0] "WHAT A MATCH, WHAT A FUCKING MATCH, THIS IS AWESOME, THIS WAS THE SHOW STEALER I JUST BET THAT, ALMOST 5 STAR FOR ME, YOU SHOULD WATCH THIS MATCH, THIS WAS THE BEST MATCH OF THE NIGHT NO FUCKING DOUBT, **** 3/4 from me, 9.5/10 [10]"
[8.0] "I didn't get as much aggression as I was hoping for following the very personal promo exchange earlier in the week, but it was still a very good match. ****"
[5.0] "After seeing Seth Rollins shine at a house show I went to last year, I was excited for this but this was boring and lacking in real substance imo. It was a typical Seth Rollins bore fest that didn? t come across as a real fight that would? ve fit the build. Instead it was a match built around ? awesome? moves and OMG sequences. Even in the building, I was left disinterested. Shame. **1/2"
[7.0] "A good, but lacking match. Considering the hatred displayed between these two over the last month or so I expected much more of a violent brawl, especially after the interview segment on the go home Raw, but instead it was much more of a wrestling match, albeit a good and technically sound one. I have no knowledge or interest in Riddle's association with the perennially boring Orton, so could have done without the references to him. Rollins won in the end, so I'm guessing the feud continues and ultimately culminates in some kind of gimmick match at Extreme Rules, a show they seemed to advertise multiple times throughout the show, I'm sure they never used to do this at PPV's."
Tolles Ding!"
[8.0] "Great stuff here. Only complaint is that for a grudge match like this, they really shouldn? t be focusing on the moves to do moves style of wrestling they should at least try to make it feel more like a dog fight. That? s just my take on it it tho. Match quality wise this was great. Back and forth action, riddle really shined here and Rollins finally got back on track with a win, and he had to up the intensity to secure that. Would have preferred it as no DQ I can? t lie (****)"
[7.0] "Pretty good, but didn't quite have the heat to it that the feud called for. They started well, but by the halfway mark it seemed to have become a pretty typical Seth Rollins match instead of anything where it felt like the two really hated each other. It at least still moved quickly and had some aggression, so it wasn't too bad, but just not quite as violent as you'd expect given the build. I also really hated the spot where Riddle completely no sold a superplex to hit a move of his own."
[8.0] "Really good match but I feel could have used the Extreme Rules stipulation (hopefully next show? ). Not the match I was hoping for, lacked aggression in my opinion, but again this is WWE so can't get too much. These two can do better and I hope they will in the following months."
[8.0] "Pretty weak for a grudge match, but pretty good for a "movez" match-- especially the finish. Riddle's counters into submission holds were gorgeous. The feud does finally come out towards the end of the match with Rollins exploiting Riddle's emotions to get an advantage. Riddle finds a window to make a comeback, but his overzealousness ends up costing him the win. Super solid-- but a far second on the card to the WALTER match."
[8.0] "These guys can just go in the ring, plain and simple. These are two guys that pretty much every match they have is good and this is no exception. That being said, I don't think this is the best match of the night or the best match of either man's career. It is also open for more matches which will be interesting to see. ****1/4"
[8.0] "For what was supposed to be a huge grudge match, this didn't start out like one. Rollins and Riddle are both very good and athletic wrestlers who put on a show. There was a little too much no-selling going on and at points the match devolved into "moves moves moves" without any rhyme or reason. It was good, but not great, up until the point where Rollins got in Riddle's face and once again brought up Riddle's family, then the intensity really picked up. Riddle went berserk, hitting Rollins with lots of kicks and punches, and even attempted to hit Rollins with a chair. Riddle's anger backfired as Rollins was able to hit the stomp as Riddle was getting back into the ring then hit another stomp from the top rope, which allowed Rollins to get the pin. The last 5 minutes of the match were much better than the rest. 8/10"
[5.0] "This would have been a fine enough match if it was on a GCW show in front of a few hundred people, but putting on a match like this, in the world's largest wrestling company and on a show with 60, 000+ people, looked really amateurish. Rollins, seemingly having accepted that he isn't going to be the face of WWE anymore, now clearly wishes he could be the guy who has the blow-away matches on the big shows. He desperately tries to put on all these epic matches, but he simply doesn't have the athletic ability, the explosiveness, nor the intensity to make that a reality, hence why he just ends up looking like any random top indie star instead of like a major wrestling star. Riddle has been pretty mediocre if not outright bad since he came to WWE, and he likewise didn't do anything impressive here. Rollins was annoyingly slow and 'floaty' with all his overly telegraphed attacks, and his "cartoon villain" heel work was as awfully dorky as always. Riddle's MMA-based style is only ever cool in theory these days, since he far too heavily holds back on all his strikes, making them look really light or far too obviously showing that they don't even connect properly, and his submissions are never set-up or executed with exciting slickness or believable grips. Their "epic" exchanges all looked lacked power, intensity, and smooth technique. They were truly just completely mindless with all of them, just suddenly recovering and no-selling from one big spot to another, though I'll give them props for at least having some decent creativity every now and then. The match obviously couldn't progress to the finish without the standard finisher spam and kick-out spam, because WWE still has no idea how to properly build drama without them. Really overkill and amateurish stuff, but I guess it's alright if we're going by amateur standards. **3/4"
[9.0] "I thought this match was awesome, not quite as good as WALTER vs Sheamus but not that far away from it. I thought the middle part especially was phenomenal, there was an extended fighting spirit sequence which we would've never seen if Vince was still in charge because they would've been told ''slow it down kid, let the moves register'' or some other oldhead wrestling saying. The finish was also pretty creative with Seth taking advantage of Riddle's emotional outburst. One of the best WWE matches of the year. ****1/4 or ****1/2. I'd put it in the middle of those 2 ratings."
[6.0] "Pretty solid stuff where the match writers don't know what a genius is, so they need the commentary to tell the audience that Rollins is a "master manipulator.""
[9.0] "A really intense match, a highly emotive Riddle and a very provoking Rollins put on an absolute high tempo clinic. Some big spots and bumps, both riddle and Rollins did themselves proud here."
[9.0] "This was interesting grudge match where it looked either man could have won, ultimately Seth Rollins won in a very declarative manner which was ultimately very important for his character to be taken seriously as opposed to being seen a someone willing to lose matches to almost anyone, Riddle nevertheless looked strong as well."
[9.0] "This match was great through the storylines, the promo battles, the personal dilemmas, or even the match as its own. It was enjoyable and created a great technical match. Seth Rollins using Randy Orton moves and attempting finishers will probably push this feud to continue once he returns or even continue with Matt Riddle just solely on the disrespect that was given. The top rope curb stomp was very good and Matt Riddle sold it as if he actually got knocked out. Great match, enjoyable and created some memorable spots."
[8.0] "A personal battle between Matt Riddle and Seth Rollins, where both men delivered a great performance. Fantastic storytelling and psychology from both athletes here, Seth Rollins was an absolute mastermind who kept mocking his opponent to get into his nerves, Matt Riddle was awesome as usual, and seeing him all mad and seething with anger because of Rollins was just amazing. Also, that Curb Stomp from the Top Rope was extremely gorgeous! ****1/4"
[8.0] "As a match this was really great. As a much fitting the feud this was ok. They didnt get into really trying to beat each other down until the end. Hard to follow Gunther vs Sheamus as a wild brawl, but they're in a blood feud and had a heavily technical match."
[4.0] "Adequate, I can't rate it any higher than that. It was clumsy in parts and the characters of both Riddle and Rollins are still as insufferable as ever."
[7.0] "Not really a fan of Riddle? s and Rollins can be hot and cold for me. For having legitimate heat allegedly, this really did not feel that heated for me and at times a bit sloppy/exhibitiony. They did have a pretty strong go home that did help elevate it."
[9.0] "Another really good match on this show. There were a lot of cool spots and Riddle's transitions into certain submissions were fantastic. The pace picked up in the final few minutes and the near falls were really good. The finish was correct as well. That stomp off the top looked great. [****1/4]"
[10.0] "This competition, this fight, something beautiful, I would like to watch something like this all the time, a well-announced story, good wrestling, two great wrestlers. It's good that they postponed this fight to Clash at the Castle. There was anger in both of them in the fight, this audience building Seth, I love. And this Finisher, something beautiful."
[6.0] "The first half of this was sloppy as hell and the feel of it being two guys trading moves rather than a big blood feud coming to a head. The last few minutes, however, when they started doing more big moves to kick out of, were pretty good at least. So in all, an ok match that is being overrated lmao. ***"
[8.0] "The real life hatred for each other made this match feel different and it made it awesome. The finish was really good. Seth had a crazy attire as well."
[8.0] "Really good match as we all expected, a good finish leading to a potential gimmick rematch at Extreme Rules, Seth & Riddle are in my Top 5 right now."
[9.0] "Unexpectedly, this gave Sheamus and Gunther a run for its money, and that's all down to the character work. Seth has done everything in the build to get into Matt Riddle's head, and he's succeeded. That doesn't stop Riddle giving us an intensity that we don't usually see from him in his laid-back "bro" persona. Ultimately though, the master manipulator is the one that wins in a great match that really brought some battling action."
[9.0] "Very good match. I thought it would be longer and filled with even more action, but it was enough for now. Loved the ending. Seth's character finally tricked the opponent to defeat."
[7.0] "Match was pretty solid. Riddle's moves looked really smooth and stiff, and I think Seth played a good part of the match despite the best parts being with him in the passenger's seat."
[8.0] "Great build up, a very heated match, and these guys showed it, pulling out all the stops to put the other men down. Sleepers, pedigrees, barricade buckle bombs, neutralizers, stiff shots to the head, A TOP ROPE STOMP. Lots of good false finishes as well, and both Riddle and Rollins leave this match strong, with possibility for a rematch in the future."
[9.0] "The fight was very good, they both deserved to win. It would be great if they continued with their rivalry, to see what happens in the weekly shows. They both did a great job."
[9.0] "An intense battle not in terms of physicality alone but in terms of emotions too. From the start, the fire was blazing between both men dishing out insane flurries of aggression increasing the pace at a rapid move. I had Riddle in mind for the win to cement his stance but he did the accomplishment despite losing while Rollins won after a long time of falling under the pit for many PLEs he contested. The final stretch was outstanding as heck embodying the raucous vendetta of Rollins that helped him to prevail. If this is the end, I'm certainly happy with the way it went. If not, I'm ready for a rematch also. 4.5 out of 5 stars!"
[9.0] "Phenomenal, fast paced action. A much-needed win for Seth and a great performance from both wrestlers. This was a wonderful and personal feud, and its outcome is just as good. I'm excited for the future of both Seth & Riddle."
[7.0] "As someone said below, rehearsed and formulaic, looked like textbook WWE style instead of something more... raw. All in all it was enjoyable but nothing too great."
[7.0] "This was supposed to be an intense, hateful fight. It was just like every Rollins match you've seen. Too clean to be a good brawl but I suppose the WWE audience will cheer on cue no matter what. It was just a decent match. This didn't need the personal build it got."
[9.0] "Seth Rollins again showed why he's one of the most important people at WWE at the moment, with both his promos and in ring work elevating everyone he faces - and Matt Riddle (another name restored) is already very, very good so being elevated made this a great match. If there was a flaw it's that Riddle could have been more brutal given the back story, but he certainly was more so than normal, and his happt-go-lucky side was notably absent."
[9.0] "What incredible chemistry. The fact that Rollins has provoked Riddle, gives rise to a rematch that will undoubtedly ... be violent. Good key and excellent punishment, highly recommended. (****1/4)"
"A jawdropper. This match definetly went above my expectations, and im honestly relieved to say that. An amazing pace, constant counters, a great finish, it had everything. It was great to see them deliver in an amazing way. And to top it, Seth finally wins on PPV. ****1/2."
[9.0] "The only real complaint with this match is that Gunther vs. Sheamus set such a high bar that it was nearly impossible to top. Regardless, these two had a hell of a battle. The story worked well, with Matt Riddle's emotions being used against him in a smart way. That stomp at the end...WOW. ****1/2"
[7.0] "Great match. I do think this match should have been a No Disqualification Match, but the story told given regular rules was great. Really cool ending, once again, with Rollins hitting a Middle Rope Stomp on Riddle for the win. Both men with great performances, Riddle kicking out of the his own finisher and the Pedigree was cool. ***3/4"
[7.0] "For a match between two people who allegedly hate each other, I found this a tad rehearsed and WWE formulaic. I did like the story of Seth Rollins riling Matt Riddle up, get him fired up, and then use the anger against him, but I would have liked it a little less sterile."
[10.0] "Thank fucking god I decided to tune in live to watch the final two matches of the show. Holy shit that was amazing. Seth's shit talking, Riddle's fire, the reversals, the finish, everything so fucking great. Almost the perfect match. ****3/4."
