[7.0] "This was a fun match to watch, with Saki looking absolutely terrified, and Syuri looking absolutely terrifying. And the spinning stretch mufller (I think) was just great. Throughout the whole match, I just wasn't sure which way they were going to go with it and I loved it."
[7.0] "Saki beat Syuri! An awesome reward for Saki Kashima; who had been so entertaining throughout the 5STAR and for months before. I am sure my score does not reflect how much I enjoyed this match. I loved it! The spinning stretch muffler was cool and Kashima's sell for the kick to the head was incredible!"
[8.0] "One of those matches that is all about the context and the unique appeal of one of the performers. Because of this one can't rate it by normal standards because if you love Saki (like I do) this match is an 8. If you don't love her this match is a 6 (at best)."
[9.0] "Is there any doubt left that Saki Kashima is a very good wrestler? This is easily the most fun I've had in the 5star, Saki's character work and selling put the story over so beautifully and her technical work is good to the point that Syuri doesn't have to try hard to make spots and transitions look convincing. Every single one of the near falls and tight situations were convincing and the audience was biting it hard. The only thing lacking for me is the story paused at some points so they could run through a couple spots. Saki manages to make a match with the top champ of the company about her, while still hugely putting the top champ over AND stealing the win. Masterful honestly."
[4.0] "The story of the match is that Saki Kashima is scared of Syuri, they sell the story well, however I think the booking of the match hurts it, my main issue is the match should be sub 5 mins, even if Syuri was winning, the longer it got the more the story faded out and just turned into a beat down, also a big moment that bothered me is Syuri is pinning Saki, she kicks out, does a big body movement leaves her arm up for a good second or two, Syuri the former MMA fighter sees the arm, instead of going for a submission, she ignores the arm and transitions into some mount thing (I don't know MMA terminology), I know Syuri wasn't supposed to transition into an armbar or whatever arm hold she can do, but it was so obvious that it reminds you that wrestling is fake, entertaining for 3-4 minutes, dragged on for too long."
[9.0] "this was such a fun match to watch. great story-telling of Saki being scared of Syuri. I think if the crowd could cheer, they would have been chanting for Saki, as the scared underdog."
[9.0] "I don't care, this was an absolute delight to me. Saki killed it with her entrance, her reaction to Syuri's entrance music, her start to the match, her trying to quit, etc. It turned an otherwise ordinary match into one of the most fun matches of the year for me, awesome result included."
[7.0] "Saki's acting was incredible to the point that Syuri felt like a straight up heel. Momo and SLK worked well as essentially her parents during a soccer game (like that one Sopranos episode). Of course the ending will go down in history."
[8.0] "What a hilarious, great match that I knew it would be. Saki Kashima in the press conference before this tournament wanted to change blocks so she didn't face Syuri, and throughout the beginnings of this match she looked mortified and reluctant. Syuri kicked the hell out of her too, only for Kashima to do her diabolical finisher and win. The best part is Saki still doesn't wanna face her for the Red Belt. ****"
[7.0] "This was incredibly suspenseful and entertaining. Saki can pin anyone with the Kishikaisei but you weren't sure if she was really going to pin the World of Stardom Champion. And she did and it was awesome. Crowd audibly bit on every near fall which made it even better. This had funny moments too with Saki trying to run away and then inviting Syuri onto the mat to grapple. It was the best way the match could've happened."
