Jay White & Taiji Ishimori vs. KUSHIDA & Tama Tonga

[5.0] "I watched this for the Ishimori/KUSHIDA preview. I was not disappointing. They were popping the crowd here and I can't wait for their singles match with a cheering crowd that will presumably happen at Sakura Genesis. KUSHIDA's fiery attacks and arm targeting were great. White and Tama took a backseat here."

[8.0] "Best match of the undercard. Watching Kushida again in his wrestling home is great, as long as he remains having this kind of matches. Renewing the rivalry with Ishimori its also a great decision. Good match. [***3/4]"

[6.0] "Pretty decent match. I felt it was a good preview to the near future. KUSHIDA getting the surprise pin was a good way to shoot him to the #1 contender spot for the Jr. Heavyweight belt. Tama Tonga getting to challenge for the World Heavyweight belt also makes sense considering Tama's win over White in the G1. 6/10"

[6.0] "This match was solid. Jay White and Tama Tonga were holding themselves for the future and we had some cool sequences between KUSHIDA and Ishimori, albeit there were also dead moments. In theory this match is good, but I don't see a good reason why it happened here. Ishimori had already tap out Kushida on New Japan Road and White vs Tonga will surely happen in the future. Kushida getting a shot after being beat by Ishimori does not make either of them strong. Still, I hope we see a great match for the Junior title."
