The clothesline that Giovanni Vinci hit near the end looked brutal and I really like the Frankensteiner finish. Overall this match rocked and I'm glad I went out of my way to watch it, and you should too."
[5.0] "I liked the match but I hate that Giovanni Vinci lost the title opportunity, I saw him as the next good mid-card champ and star, I'm not into Carmelo Hayes so even more why I'm giving only 5, I hope Giovanni will not become a loser after this match"
[7.0] "The finish was a bit flat and there were some slightly rough patches but this was fun. It was the usual athletic 50/50 match that can sometimes feel pretty robotic but these two have more natural athleticism than the guys that usually attenot this style of match, and I think that made the whole thing play a bit better. Carmelo's springboard clothesline off the second rope looks pretty fantastic, he nails that middle rope springboard unlike just about anybody else."
[7.0] "Giovanni Vinci is an NXT diamond, and they waste it like that, breaking the whole image for a clean one - this is bad. The match came out very good, where there were various athletic beauties and intrigue was present. But why it all came down to distraction and unfair victory - I don't know. Carmelo Hayes is good on the mats, but has stopped developing as a person. It's always nice to see bright wrestling from such talents."
[7.0] "Great opener. Vinci is incredible. Always been a fan. I cant get behind Carmelo? s promos or gimmick however i cant deny he is great in the ring."
[9.0] "This is very clearly Carmelo Hayes' best fight in NXT. Both of them are packed with talent, it's completely crazy. The fight is filled with the craziest athletic holds. Trick Williams' interference allows Giovanni Vinci to lose without being discredited. Carmelo Hayes is going to break so much when he goes to the Main Roster, I have no fear."
[7.0] "A pretty speedster of an opener with a very good mix of styles presented well. Hayes' athletic & calculative offense matched so good with Vinci's aerial & strong replies of defence. A visible miscue doesn't mean that Vinci is not ready to be in this stage. He needs to be a more prominent among the scene while Hayes has seasoned himself as a top level player of the brand and I won't mind seeing him as NXT Champion by the year end. 3.25 out of 5 stars!"
[6.0] "Fine opener, but both wrestlers are capable of better, I think maybe they didn't want to go full tilt on a match that might be forgotten down the line. Good defence for Hayes, just catching Vinci out at the last moment."
[6.0] "This was a pretty good match, but could have been better. They wrestled a good pace but at times I found it a bit repetitive, with too many springing off the second rope spots. There was also some sloppiness, including a failure to execute Aichner catching Hayes in a suplex position from a flying nothing. For the finish, Aichner had Hayes up for a powerbomb but Hayes reversed with a headscissors into a pin for the win. The move itself looked excellent, unfortunately though, the pin was botched as Aichner's shoulder was clearly off the mat."
