314.05.2025BH628.0These two insane motherfuckers went all out like an easy task for them. That's what a spotfest is supposed to be : just two dudes who are doing crazy moves just for the sheer pleasure of the fans, but for them as well. Their chemistry is natural, and that's certainly elevated the bout's quality. A love letter to lucha libre, and that was surely cool to witness it. Bandido and Horus came in to fill a spot, and they exited the arena with certainly one of the best bouts of the show. And they were doing it like it was casual for them.

615.02.2023Der Galische Krieger3.012/08/22 Emergence Impact. Awful match to be honest, the wrestling was not only pure fake, but badly choreographed with botch after botch. The crowd were tame, like parents at a kids school play. next we'll have trampoline wrestling. Two capable athletes but just no story, no chemistry, no realism what so ever. 3*

923.11.2022CoolKyle5.0Not good at all. A Lot of miscommunications but that's understandable in lucha when the entrie premise of the match are choreographed spots. Neither were at their A game tonight so the botches were more noticable. These 2 are capable of better.

1204.10.2022benny5bellys8.0It was pretty sloppy in opening stages but they soon got on the same page and delivered a high level modern lucha match. As a showcase I enjoyed it lot but the style is not for me every day of the week.
1325.09.2022arrancar6.0Standard modern lucha match, which is to say that it was a bunch of athletic and flippy stunts one after the other, all of which were physically impressive but suffered from a lack of psychology, storytelling, and pacing. They had some noticeable awkward and slowness in their early interactions, but they soon moved past that and began hitting all their set stunts with pretty strong chemistry and individual technique. They still had issues, though, as basically all their exchanges were overly complex and thus required quite a lot of the wrestlers standing in awkward, compromised positions waiting for the other, or waiting for each other, to hit their next move. That overly choreographed nature always took me out of the match, reminding me that I was just watching stuntmen trying to 'wow' the crowd instead of watching 2 wrestlers actively trying to fight and actually win the match. Still, their technique was so strong and a few of their biggest spots were indeed so impressive that I still ended up finding it an alright match, even if it definitely felt like more of an 'exhibition' instead of an actual, competitive match. ***
1424.09.2022Prince Osborne8.0A fiesta of Mexican wrestling bringing the flavors as expected from both men. These two have a huge history as a unit as well as opponents and the chemistry were seen visibly being exceptional. There were some logical loopholes, but the flamboyant athleticism faded those away from a scintillating rally of action. Bandido is one of my favs whom I would love to see more in major combats against equalized opponents matching his style and I hope he gets more title hunts like he had in ROH. 4 out of 5 stars!

1618.09.2022GoldLiger8.0A great showcase for lucha and AAA which is exactly what this wanted to be. Bandido is one of the best on the planet and a total package, he looked excellent here. The Spanish double count into the mirrored Taker situp was super fun. As an exhibition, this ruled. ***3/4+

2819.08.2022pierreMinne5.0Uninteresting match to me. A good performance by Rey Horus however, but Bandido is still such an uninteresting worker to me who doesn't seem to try to add some psychology to his matches. Just a midcard spotfest. **3/4
2919.08.2022PavelDragunov8.0Fight forever. A very fun and beautiful Lucha match. A real Mexican school where entertainment and athleticism come to the fore. It is very pleasant to look at such filigree actions and sequences. The fighters gave their all and excited the public. From the beginning to the end, the heart rejoices and the body rests when viewing such beauty.

4315.08.2022Sky239.0Of course we were going to get good lucha content on this show when we learned we'd get a AAA exhibition, but to me this was an absolute face-melter, with both guys going all out. Bandido is amazing and Rey Horus is great too. Blink-and-you'll-miss-it action like this always tends to pop me. I hope these two will both get more time to shine on US TV.
4415.08.2022PuroresuLover5.0Despite the lucha antics, I couldn't appreciate this match that much, mostly because of Rey Horus and his laziness. Seriously, the timing was all over the place and Horus was performing like he's fucking sixty years old. Bandido carried him throughout the match and did a good job in hiding a bit of Horus' lack of interest. Also, that Superplex with one hand only was a thing of beaty, Bandido really is impressive. ***1/2

6314.08.2022Loki Hipster God7.0There were a lot of cool spots with both guys aiming to impress, but there was also a general lack of logic and so much no-selling that the moves didn't have the impact they should have had. At the beginning, Bandido goes for the 21 Plex, but decides to roll out of it for who knows whatever reason. Horus didn't reverse the move, Bandido just decided midway through that he wasn't doing the move. That's what I mean by lack of logic. As an athletic spectacle, it's highly impressive and fun, but as a wrestling match, it could use some work.

6714.08.2022dizzle778.0Honestly held my attention a lot better than I was expecting. Off the charts. They were trying to impress and get all of their shit in, and it showed--but it wasn't sloppy. Everything flowed, it was crisp, athletic and fun. Good stuff.
6814.08.2022Genius929.0Super Spotfest, Unterhaltung pur, Lucha Libre vom feinsten.Würde die beiden gerne mal in einem Ultimate X Match sehen.****1/4

7014.08.2022Dragon Master Adam9.0absolutely insane match, but its expected from both of these guys. it did disappoint at all! So many insane spots.
7114.08.2022TheLegitBoss9.0Awesome spotfest between Bandido and Horus here which was all about the presentation, this was the very first match of these two guys in Impact Wrestling and although they're names that everyone in the audience knows it's still a debut for them and they had to show what they could do directly. How can I say they couldn't have done it any better because it was absolutely insane, having seen plenty of these guys' matches before I wasn't expecting to be surprised as it's always very good but they still managed to innovate with stuff they've never done before. It's like they've had ideas for insane spots for years but have been waiting for the right time to make them, and this was indeed the right time so kudos to them for delivering a real show of their own. Great high-octane action with sick moves & sequences, Bandido getting 'fight forever' chants for his debut doesn't surprise me and it was even better than their already good OTT match from a few years ago.
7213.08.2022Grissom8.0Schönes und flüßiges Lucha Match von Bandido und Horus. Von der Paarung konnte man ohnehin einiges erwarten und das haben beide größenteils erfüllt.
7313.08.2022Belka 0179.0An amazing match. This match is fantastic. One of my dreams is for Impact Wrestling to sign Bandido. They need him, and he needs them. He will give them great matches, and they will give him time, which AEW or God forbid WWE will not be able to give. That's why Bandido needs to be here. The match is incredible. ****1/2
7413.08.2022Tyler Rollins8.0Esto es lucha! This is awesome! These chours were absolutely appropriate for the match these two wrestler offered! They take over the best from the other using even manouvre never used or seen before. This is a great showcase for lucha Libre and both of these incredible luchador and professional wrestlers
