Go Shiozaki vs. Kazuyuki Fujita

[8.0] "Fujita came here to destroy and humiliate Shiozaki, and that was pretty good witnessing that. Shiozaki excelled pretty well as the hero in clear jeopardy, while the fans were surely receptive to this subtle, but yet effective storytelling. Every move displayed by Fujita is looking like a murder, but whatever. Shiozaki sold the hell for him, and his comebacks were great. Fujita is a beast, and that finish is certainly the proof of this observation. It was, and it looked brutal."

[8.0] "There's a fear I feel when I witness Fujita's finishing moves. The kick that ruptured Nakajima's eardrum, the beast bomb that looks like the opponent's head violently slams against the ground. It's all so brutal and vicious. The chops and strikes leaving visible marks on both wrestlers; a punishing match to start the N-1 gauntlet."

[7.0] "Nice match to close the event. Fujita looked massively dominant against the superhero Shiozaki, who almost stole the match. This battle also lets you the emotion to watch the next matches of the tournament. Good effort. Pretty satisfactory match. [***3/4]"

Kazuyuki Fujita was perfectly tuned to win and his work was correct, he focused on the legs and neck of the opponent, which eventually helped him to carry out suplexes and bombs. Go Shiozaki starts with a defeat, but this clearly will not prevent him from fighting for victory. The strike technique and, of course, the endurance of the athletes are very impressive."

[8.0] "Pretty good match, it was brutal, not a surprising result, I think my comments for the Nakajima vs Kitamiya apply here too, except the part about the time, they got a good amount of time, and none of it felt waisted, good first main event."

[8.0] "Brutal match, between a continuing to lose Shiozaki vs a seemingly refreshed and putting in effort Fujita. Doesn't have the highs of their first match from 2020, but it was different and I enjoyed that. It was nice to see them not indulge everyone in a staredown, which is what everyone expected going in."

[6.0] "This was a very paint-by-numbers, generic match - it felt like they went 20 minutes just because they were in the Main Event. Shiozaki always brings it and he made this match watchable."

[8.0] "Super cool match with maybe another loss for Shiozaki (booked like Okana in NJPW for me). Revenge for Fujita and his never lost GHC title is done."

[9.0] "I really enjoyed this match, Kazuyuki Fujita has ability to where his starting grapples are intense feeling and never boring. I'm glad Go worked underneath against this monster with several good hope spots and his chops sounded so brutal like they do every time. Fujita just went nuts on that finish and I loved it, but if I had one complaint I wish he did another punt because the first one didn't really make a sound or look all that brutal. But other than that, this is one of my favorite matches of the year."
