Kevin Steen vs. Michael Elgin

[6.0] "This took a while to get going, and the crowd were largely awful for most of it (2012-13 ROH crowds were the worst.) The ending picked up, but it just seemed like these two never found their rhythm. I'm not sure I understand the logic of Steen being too injured to lift Elgin up for the Package Piledriver, but having no difficulty hitting him with the Sleeper Suplex three times in a row (wouldn't Steen still have to lift Elgin up to perform that move? )"

[6.0] "Somehow I didn't join this match. I didn't like it at all. Usually I only say good things about Kevin's matches, but this is not very good. I do not know why cage has such a rating, but I just did not like it at all..."

[9.0] "This was wrestled at a slow paced but they told a great story of how Elgin had spinal issues caused and the match but then Steen hurt his shoulder to the point that he was not able to put away Elgin with his package piledriver. Elgin was able to work around his worked injury while Steen was unable to and that was his undoing. ****1/2"

[8.0] "Obviously there was no way they could top their World Title Match from Glory By Honor XI, but if we're going to compare, one thing I noticed is that this match seemed to go at a much slower pace. Plus I think the crowd might have been burnt out a little bit from the Ciampa/Cole match. I loved the storytelling and the selling here, specifically how Steen couldn't hit the Package Piledriver because Elgin had been working on his arm most of the match, resulting in Steen having to resort to multiple sleeper suplexes. This damage to Elgin's neck would come into play later. Don't let the fact that the match was a bit slower ruin it for you. It was still a really good match. Elgin advances to the finals."

[8.0] "The start was slow and boring, and around the senton atomico spot the match began to be good. The last ten minutes were awesome. The match was good but not what I expected him to be. (***3/4)"
