[9.0] "I have almost no experience with Woods but he did well here and I wouldn't mind seeing more of him. I was slightly afraid this would be dull but I needn't have worried, there's very little Keith Lee and Shane Strickland can't accomplish together, and even Nese pulled his weight with one of his better performances. The match was tremendously fun, maybe the most straight out enjoyable of the whole night. The heels' manager Smart Mark Sterling got involved as well, only to go through a table, followed up by an even nuttier spot where Woods German suplexed Keith Lee off the apron so that both men crashed through a couple tables. Cool move but Woods, you pretty much crushed your own self with that one. Naturally Strickland picked up the pin, and after the cameras went off the champs cut a nice promo, with Keith Lee in particular very sincerely thanking the crowd for coming out."
[6.0] "Pretty fun match but nothing special. It picked near the end with a couple of cool spots but the first part wasn't very good. I still don't understand the apron spot, they spent entire minutes there for what? But in the end it was good, Mark Sterling going through the table was funny and the german suplex on the tables was great. 6/10 - 3.25*/5*"
[7.0] "Even with the victory, the champions don't come out very strong. Overall, it's a good fight, pretty entertaining, no problem with that but who gives a shit about Tony Nese ?"
[7.0] "Obviously, that was a good bout, giving the names involved, but I'd rather seen a good old classic tag one here. I'm not the biggest fan of putting stipulations just to have one. Nevertheless, both teams displayed a pretty nice showdown as Nese and Woods are working well together. This was more of a test for them, they could be a serious duo in the future. They've built some good spots, especially the table one with Lee and Woods and the final stretch as well. Crowd's red hot fire added something, for sure."
[5.0] "This match felt pretty slow to me, as though everyone was paranoid about the timing on this live version of Rampage. The spot on the apron where they were stalling for the ad break was rough. On the plus side, finally someone actually delivered on an apron German suplex spot."
[8.0] "For being made from a really weird and weak story, this match was a really fun one. Good spots and bumps from everyone involved. That suplex into the tables was easily the highlight, but the table spot from Sterling was also fun too. 8/10"
[6.0] "This match started out slow but did manage to grab me by the end, with some exciting spots heading towards the finish (that Woods german suplex to Lee was brutal). That being said, a very strange first challenger and match type for Swerve and Lee. They are still a relatively new team themselves and it feels like they would've been better suited to a regulation tag match - particularly since this was their first title defense. I quite like the pairing of Josh Woods and Tony Nese and wouldn't mind if they were a permanent tag team going forward (perhaps in ROH? ) - but, again, I think they would've been better suited to a regular match. It's been an underwhelming start to Swerve in our Glory's reign, but hopefully their next feud will showcase both of these extraordinary talents in a more meaningful way. Swerve is really starting to come into his own in AEW and is really growing that connection with the audience."
[8.0] "A first-class hardcore fight with all possible entertaining moments. Josh Woods has finally come out of the shadows and can delight fans in the brightest way. I was very amused by the moment with the sports food that Tony was eating and Mark's fall on the table. I am also amazed by the German suplex on tables, Keith Lee generally gets bumps after resting in matches as if he is a lightweight - respect. As a result, Swerve was able to turn the tide of the battle and brought Swerve In Our Glory a well-deserved big victory."
[8.0] "I wasn't sure about the pairing of Nese and Woods but I think they did a great job here against Lee and Strickland. There were a lot of fun hardcore spots and I really liked the German suplex through two tables that Woods hit on Lee."
[8.0] "This was a lot of fun. They did a good job of putting over Josh Woods, with Tony Nese taking the pin. Keith Lee is insane for taking that bump through a table to the outside. Sterling going through the table was also a funny moment. Good match overall."
[7.0] "Started fairly slowly for a street fight but really got into gear in the second half and was a great showcase for all men involved and made Woods seem like a fairly viable threat in his first match on TV, might not have been the best street fight ever but was really fun when it got going and that was evident in the crowd. ***3/4"
[7.0] "A weapons match that took a little while to get going, but once it did it didn't disappoint, with a lot of fun spots. Swerve Strickland was the star here but everyone played their part well, including Mark Sterling as the comedy heel manager. I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would."
[5.0] "This match was a real downer in the first half, and a just OK second half. Weak looking moves, lots of the wrestlers stumbling around to get in to the right spot to take a move, it just looked bad. The spots weren't good and it just felt silly. There was some decent action in the second half with Swerve Strickland, but some bad spots as well. I felt Keith Lee and Josh Woods really dragged this match down. And Mark Sterling really didn't need to get involved."
[9.0] "This was a ton of fun, Woods was impressive in his first big match in the company. High work rate while still filled with goofy spots to keep it interesting. The German Suplex to the outside was ridiculous at the end."
