[7.0] "Overall Stevie James vs. Mark Haskins on ICW Fight Club was a really good competitive match and it was a good preview to build up to their 2 Out Of 3 Falls match at Shug's Hoose Party 7. It's already established that Mark Haskins is one of the best in the world without question, and Stevie James in his current singles run has a ton of potential and I feel like this was a true test for Stevie in the ring in which I think he passed. Also there's a different feel, a different energy when Vicky Haskins is in her husband's corner as opposed to Mark Haskins wrestling by himself. I feel like Vicky being in Mark's corner, whether he's a face or a heel, gives him extra motivation to kick some ass and try his damndest to get the win, and I just love that energy that both Mark & Vicky as a unit bring to the table! The only part of the match that really brought down the rating for me was the finish of the match where first off, Mark took off his elbow pad and threw it down towards Vicky's way so she could get on the apron to distract the referee as Stevie would roll up Mark, but Vicky got on the apron immediately after Mark threw down his elbow pad so I think she hit her cue a little too early. Mark missed at attempting to hit an elbow to the back of Stevie's head and had Vicky got on the apron for the distract the ref spot as Stevie rolled Mark up right afterwards, that would've made more sense, but it is what it is. Then almost immediately the finish came where Mark after realizing a submission attempt wasn't gonna work, he rolled up Stevie and put his feet on the ropes for the win. Mark did a good job of hiding the fact that he put his feet on the ropes for leverage, but my only issue with that finish was that Stevie's shoulder was clearly up on 3. That's on referee Sean McLaughlin though. Regardless that finish accomplished a full-fledged heel turn for Mark Haskins in ICW. Hopefully their 2 Out Of 3 Falls match will top this one and be a hell of a lot better all around."
