Edge vs. John Cena

[8.0] "Another gimmick match for Cena/Edge and another near homerun. I understand the issues some might have, its a cage match on tv, there's no blood.. Which I love in a Steel cage match.. there's interference... however, I also understand it is a TV show and if you were watching in the context, Cade and Murdoch helping Edge wouldn't be so strange.. beyond that though, the match is awesome because in this one, Edge has a target.. Cena's arm and so its a little bit unique where traditionally, the bad guy doesn't want to be locked in a cage alone with the Hero but the hero is a wounded animal so working that in gives it a different dynamic even if the end result was a little bit of overbooking."

[7.0] "It was just a tv steel cage match with nothing that really made it special. These two did decent but the ending was really confusing out of context."

[7.0] "Not really a fan of the overbooking at the end, as I feel like it really took away from all the intensity Cena and Edge had built between each other throughout the match. However, this is a very worthy entry into one of WWE's most storied and entertaining rivalries of all time."

[7.0] "A pretty entertaining cage match, I think I may well consider this the best match of their rivalry throughout 2006. Perhaps a bit overbooked at the end but nothing egregious. The one thing that bugged me is simply that I don't like the door being available in cage matches because it looks so damn easy to win that way if you try at the right time, not that that's Cena and Edge's fault. At least it tied into the finish here. ***1/2"

[7.0] "This was the match set to end Cenas and Edge feud in 2006 and it was pretty good. Cena enters this match with an injured left arm so Edge would focus most of his offense on that arm. Cena would sell the injury of his arm pretty well by only using one arm in order to do things like power moves. The last 3 minutes or so of this match started off good with Cena knocking down Edge with the chair that Lita had introduced into the ring, then locking in the STFU but the ref was down. So then Cade Murdoch interferes, tries to help Edge win by escaping through the door but DX comes in to save Cena. Once DX fights off Murdoch and his partner Cena hits the FU for the win.***1/2"

[5.0] "Not a bad match but it felt too long. The over booking hurt the match too. I think this feud deserved a better match to end."

[7.0] "A pretty good cage match to fittingly end this amazing feud, which was easy 2006 Feud Of The Year for my money. Edge got the best out of Cena once again. ***1/4"
