[7.0] "A fun comedy match with all of the best House of Torture comedy spots mixed in throughout, Dick Togo has a lot of entertaining spots in this as well. The bit with KENTA's book is probably my favorite part"
[7.0] "A really great comedy match, EVIL is a master at this and KENTA does really well too. The back and forth between bullet club members is so good and Dick Togo is always great at everything he does. The finish was clever"
[4.0] "This was your typical EVIL match with lots of cheating and HoT shenanigans, but honestly I can't really hate this, even if it wasn't good or anything. It was portrayed rather as goofy and KENTA had a really fun performance, he sort of carried this with this humour, idk he's just really goofy if he wants to. The finish was nice too, with KENTA being counted-out, due to Dick hiding underneath the ring."
[7.0] "Fun match, the Bullet Club/House of Torture shenanigans were fun, and the book stuff was enjoyable as well. Big pop for the bell and hammer spot on the outside. Dick Togo promoting the book after the match was nice as well."
[7.0] "Not gonna lie, I enjoyed it way to much than i should have had. It was comedy gold. Everything involving KENTA's book was fantastic and EVIL's and Togo's interactions with it made it better. Of course, even here we had some classic HoT shenanigans, but atleast it wasn't out of place here. We could've have had KENTA being more upset with lose howerer, as this is his 2nd L in the block, instead he kinda excepted it way too quickly"
[3.0] "Judge! Well, where were you looking? Absurd. As a result, the match of the two dirtiest players in the business ended unsatisfactorily, where, as a result, the pancake decided to protect Evil, and not the more necessary KENTA company, so he also accepted it. Somehow it's surreal and not interesting. The tournament should not go that way."
[7.0] "There is no one in wrestling who can work the "omg muh workrate" crowd into a seethe like how House of Torture and to a lesser extent KENTA are able to. This was a hysterical comedy match. I LOVED everything involving KENTA's book. EVIL's reactions to it + the commentary calling it were pure gold. It was basically a rib to the audience because of how much these two were trying to out cheat one another. This was the cheating equivalent to a strong-style dick-measuring contest. House of Torture apologizing to KENTA and promoting his book after the match was the cherry on top. ***1/2"
[5.0] "The beginning was shit and the ending was shit, but there were bits that I enjoyed. The book was fun and KENTA grabbing Dicks hand was also fun, but that? s about it."
[1.0] "Some of the humor would work if you are into Bullet Club drama, the actual match interactions were way too few. There was some real potential for some strong back-and-forth that never did manifest. Big disappointment for me and I had relatively low expectations."
[5.0] "I honestly thought this was quite a funny contest. Stuff like Kenta promoting his book throughout and even using it as a weapon got a good chuckle out of me. HoT shenanigans were kept short and sweet. Nowhere near as horrible as people are suggesting, although I can see why, since Kenta had a fantastic match with ZSJ and now transitions to this. But it's a fine match."
[6.0] "I walked away from this not hating it, surprisingly. It felt like these two backstage plotted to see exactly *how* much cheating and shenanigans they could fit into their 10 minutes, and just did all of it. Find yourself someone who loves something as much as those House of Torture boys love cheating."
[8.0] "I don't get the hate this match is receiving. I didn't expect a war between this 2 but the comedy side of this match was very funny start to finish. Better than an Yano match if you ask me."
[7.0] "It is a comedy match, so if you expected an exciting and hard-hitting 20-minute long match, you'd be disappointed. But as a comedy match it totally delivered."
[6.0] "You know what, I'm going to disagree with the majority here and say this was fine! It was a pretty entertaining comedy match with two utter scoundrels trying to out cheat each other. Dick Togo's involvement felt pretty creative here (the abdominal stretch spot made me laugh) and even though there was some of the same boring nonsense as usual (lights going out, ref bumps etc) it felt more at home in this Yano-style comedy bout than it normally does. The stuff with Kenta's book was funny too, especially the post match 'apology'. Not a classic by any means, but it didn't drag."
[5.0] "I knew what the match was going to be from the start, as it was who could outcheat the other. While I admit, it was entertained at moments, it just really didn't help either wrestler showcase what they can do. I'm surprised that KENTA didn't freak out over losing by count-out. 5/10"
[1.0] "I get wanting to split the G1 up to give guys more of a rest, but if adding more guys to it means we have to sit through stuff like this I am not going to enjoy it"
[5.0] "Against all odds I actually didn't hate this and actually laughed at the finish. Can't say this will be among the best G1 matches ever but it served its purpose well enough. I feel bad for rating it this high but I can't deny I was entertained."
[1.0] "Heel EVIL is just bad. KENTA isn't who used to be. I don't know how the G1 keeps getting worse but this match was really the perfect example for how bad it has become."
[3.0] "It was bad. EVIL and KENTA cheat in a ridiculous and boring way and don't know how to make a brawl credible. The finish was bad and the lights going out trick was ridiculous"
[3.0] "Boy. This is the G1 eh! After that opener I was already in a bit of a bad mood and then these two managed to have a worse match. If KENTA isn't fighting a top guy he just totally reigns it in, and EVIL just does his trashy HoT thing. Total waste of time. *3/4"
[3.0] "The bar was low following Chase Owens Vs Great-O-Khan and then EVIL & KENTA went even lower with an even worse match. This was your usual House Of Torture nonsense complete with - Abe being attacked, lights going out, ref being bumped and a terrible count out finish everyone could see a mile away. This was just bad, really bad."
