[7.0] "Good match, its devastating that Nagisa got injured, I would've loved to see her face Suzu here, but Takase replaced her here and tbf I don't really get why, as she didnt even manage to qualify for the Winner Blocks, unlike Risa Sera and SAKI (Sera even defeated Nagisa most recently there) but Takase still pulled up with a really strong performance and at the end of the day, I love Takase, shes great, so it was awesome to see her in this final, especially opposite of Suzu. While I do believe that there was more in the tank for this match-up, I'll say they didnt reach the full potential because this match was such short-notice. It followed a rather simple structure with Takase intially working on top and Suzu having to fight her way back into the match, which she did and it led to a pretty good back and forth in the finishing stretch. The highlight was certainly Suzu's striking, as she beat the shit out of Takase at some points."

The striking throughout was the highlight, especially Suzu slapping the hell out of Miyuki on the turnbuckle and Miyuki returning it with a headbutt. The chops from Takase were excellent too and it all built to a fantastic end stretch with great selling by Suzu including her back giving out on the german suplex bridge. All around an amazing tournament final - ****1/4"

[7.0] "While I think this match was stiff and did its job to make Suzu shine, letting her win a second major singles title in her career (although my guess is Nozaki would've defended it hadn't she got an injury), it never switched its gear to the point where I'd say it was incredible. However, saying it's "uneventful, colorless and plain" is just blatantly not true. Could it be better? Sure. But it got the job done. ***1/2"

[9.0] "This is the type of match where you can see two competitors fighting and clawing for something more, and that more is the top title of this company. From a gnarly headbutt that was a real loud thumper, this is the type of match that got the crowd to gasp and ooh and awwwh and that's what you want. Especially from a 19 year old prodigy in Suzu Suzuki, who won this incredible match. ****1/2"

[4.0] "Match result aside, this was probably the most generic and uneventful of Suzu Suzuki's recent singles matches. The entire match was colorless and plain. Neither wrestler seemed to be adapting to the other's style; they were just performing their usual style of match, exchanging moves with no character, innovation or cleverness. The finishing sequence, which was poorly built, was completely devoid of urgency and drama. Suzu suffered an injury during the match, and there were definitely moments where her movements seemed labored, which may have contributed to the seeming lack of chemistry. **1/4"

[9.0] "This show opened with the terrible news about Nagisa Nozaki having to vacate the belt, and even though the booking isn't ideal this match was great and Suzu Suzuki is a great choice to represent Wave in the middle of her having an outstanding year. Add this to yet another great match for her."
