2 | 11.04.2024 | The Wrestling Otaku | 4.0 | The first match (I think) between Hogan and Andre back when Andre was still one of the biggest babyfaces and overall biggest name in Professional Wrestling and Hogan was a rising heel star. The match is overall very dull and super basic from an action standpoint with their charisma and size pretty much being enough to keep the fans engaged. The finish was a decent idea that wasn't particularly well executed. |
3 | 28.03.2024 | Hitman26 | 4.0 | The very first match between Hogan and Andre The Giant. Its so weird seeing Hogan as the heel here and Andre as the face knowing what will happen in the next years. The match itself is very quick and it ended in DQ. The highlight of the match is of course Hogan body slamming Andre which means he had already body slammed him in WM 3. |
4 | 16.07.2022 | TigerDiver | 4.0 | They've been hyping this a fair ton on TV. It's the first encounter between Hogan and Andre to make a tape (at least in full format). This was all about Hogan finally meeting his match. He would usually overpower his opposition with ease, but with Andre, he'd have to find another way. The only opening Hogan would receive was when Andre hurt himself on accident. The finish was a neat idea to continue the feud, but the execution was pretty flat. Andre charged at Hogan, but the latter pulled referee Dick Woehrle in the way, crushing him and ending the bout in a DQ for the Giant. Hogan's post-match reaction was hilarious. This was mostly plodding, but it got the best out of its simplicity and was too short to be offensive. [*1/2] |
