[6.0] "This match was perfectly solid, it had some really dull parts which dragged on a lot, but it also contained some good technical wrestling, usually not a huge fan of that, but it was good here, especially none of the previous matches were like this one. I liked the work they did on the others limbs in order to set up their submissions, the sequence with the Border City Stretch was the highlight for sure. What ulitamitely hinders the match, is the finish it was really sudden and doesn't do all the work they put in ealier any justice."
[7.0] "As much as I love Shelley's work, he's way better as a babyface. Or his heelwork is unexploited. They're long as fuck and that's fucking up the pace. Othersise, Moriarty displayed a technical wizardry as Shelley followed the young punk pretty well. Shelley's armwork was good as Moriarty did it on the same level on his opponent's leg. A pretty mixed bag because without the long heat sequences of Shelley, this could have been a fucking banger."
[10.0] "It's a genuine achievement that Shelley and Moriarty made each other's actions meaningful. Early on after Moriarty used a beautiful way to get out of the hold, Shelley grabbed the opponent by the hair and threw him into the ring, because all Shelley cared about was effectiveness, not beautiful nonsense. As Moriarty started to gain momentum, Shelley caught him with another brilliant tactic, but Shelley wasn't the only man with a high wrestling IQ, so Moriarty outsmarted him in response and soon began terrorizing his arm. Shelley's immediate selling was good, as was the trick he used to turn the match in his favor. I love everything Shelley has done here, including his heel work, which perfectly complemented the story. An arrogant and intelligent veteran who doesn't want to entertain the crowd is a very pleasant heel concept, especially with the right opponent, and Lee Moriarty is definitely one of them. His arm selling is something that should be shown to every single human who wants to be good at professional wrestling. It's a joy that Moriarty didn't forget about his arm during the comebacks, and I can't stress enough how great was the sequence, in which both wrestlers managed to sell their injuries. Also, let's just appreciate the moments like when Moriarty failed to make an Irish whip due to injury or when he kept selling the arm while performing an Ankle lock. I completely don't understand how Moriarty reached such a high level at this stage of his career, and why this masterpiece hasn't received any recognition."
[7.0] "I expected more (as they say - my expectations, my problems). Alex Shelley, like a true veteran, controlled the match on his own terms and did not allow the opponent to accelerate and in every possible way blocked any attempt to enter the strike exchange. Lee Moriarty followed the lead to the last and decided to play by the imposed rules and worked on the opponent's hand and tried to hit the pain points. As a result, it all ended with a controversial trick that I didn't even understand at first. The fighters could do much better."
[5.0] "That was a boring match where the story consisted in heel domination of Alex Shelley over Moriarty's shoulders. Moriarty was a lot of selling throughout the match, but the problem is that he didn't do anything."
[7.0] "Shelley tries different things in his indie matches, and this time it was pacing and between the moves stuff in the middle. There is a saying that 'pro-wrestling matches are what happens between the moves', and this match really proved that to me - some of the stuff Shelley did really worked and made me think differently about how pro-wrestling matches are structured, some stuff fell flat to me. It was a technical/submission-based match, and Shelley's work over Moriarty's shoulder paid off in the end."
[8.0] "It was a good and enjoyable match, but the ending was strange, it could have had a better ending. But overall it was good, it was worth watching."
[7.0] "Solid co-main event between Shelley and Moriarty here but far from what could give a match between these two guys with a motivated Shelley at his top level because he was clearly not here far from there, I think this guy works much better as a face because as a heel his performances are relatively boring and repetitive with long heats not necessarily the most exciting to follow and this match is the perfect example of that. Maybe some people will be won over but being a big fan of both I had quite a few high expectations and I find that this match just didn't deliver what I expected, yes it was a good match with a smart work of Shelley on Moriarty's arm and Moriarty answering by attacking his opponent's leg but nothing exciting and way too long for what it was. A bit of a mixed bag honestly because I will say it was disappointing as was Shelley's match with Bandido for the title a month before this match, but I still think Lee had a fun showing and it was far from bad."
