High-quality wrestling with small rustles. Grayson Waller, when he does not behave like a stereotypical villain, immediately looks very good in all aspects, he is still the perfect baby face. Carmelo Hayes still shines and never misses!"

[9.0] "Another big NXT show, another banger for the North American title with Melo involved. It's become a routine and a habit anyway so I'm not shocked anymore, everything this guy touches turns to gold and indeed he never misses. This match was totally on par with the ones he's had against Grimes and Dunne in recent months even if it doesn't surpass his great title bout with Roderick Strong from earlier this year but for eight minutes of action we got our money's worth with this match. It didn't take long for Melo & Grayson to get some well deserved 'this is awesome' chants as the action in the ring was so qualitative, these are two excellent workers who are two of the most interesting to follow since the brand's repackaging last year and seeing them battle it out gave rise to some fireworks as the theme of the show suggests. Smooth and perfectly paced action with some nice-looking moves, I found Melo even more precise in what he was doing and I really enjoyed this match."

Their chemistry was great where both men exercised their best ways of winning the match with a fine sprinkle of shenanigans from Trick. That sprinkle wasn't done during the final stretch as Wes Lee expressed that he has unfinished work with Trick. Hayes & Grayson are two of the cornerstones of the brand right now and I'm really into their future in the company. 3.5 out of 5 stars!"

[7.0] "I don't know who was meant to be the babyface here - Carmelo Hayes is more likeable than Grayson Waller for sure, but Hayes has a second in Trick Williams who the babyface Wes Lee stopped interfering, however the action was very good, and the right call was made in having Hayes retain here."
