BJ Whitmer vs. CM Punk vs. Colt Cabana vs. Jimmy Rave vs. Matt Stryker

[4.0] "Der Sinn dieses Spießrutenlaufs besteht also darin, über eine halbe Stunde der Show für weniger als fünf Minuten zu verschwenden, um das FOH-Finale vorzubereiten ... was mir mittlerweile egal ist, da das FOH nichts weiter als eine Aufgabe für alle Midcard-Wrestler zu sein scheint und nichts weiter als anständige Midcard-Kämpfe hervorgebracht hat. Ich mag Whitmer (als Wrestler, nicht als Person), und Stryker ist im Großen und Ganzen nicht schlecht ... aber sie haben Punk dafür schwach aussehen lassen? Bin enttäuscht von der Buchung hier."

[3.0] "This was a weak gauntlet match, not that ROH had done a good gauntlet at this point of their history, but it was bad. Most of the matches were under five minutes and didn't have any interest or were particulary good. The crowd being silent didn't help either. The first match was the best of the gauntlet. CM Punk defeats Jimmy Rave. On the last two shows Jimmy Rave has put on some impressive performances. Having listen to AJ Styles, Rave works over Punk's knee, which was cool. Some cool moves were the mule kick by Punk, the headscissors into the guardrail by Rave or the Shinning Wizard countered into a half crab by Punk. The ending was weird, because Punk had been favoring his leg throughout all the encounter, but then hit the Pepsi Plunge (a pedigree off the top rope) to win the match. It has no sense to hit that move with a bad knee. The next match was Matt Stryker defeating CM Punk. The best part was Stryker trying to attack the knee at all cost at the beginning. In the end the Strykerlock makes Punk tap out in less than four minutes. Next was Stryker defeating Colt Cabana. The best part of the match was Cabana's comedy, for example at the entrance dancing in slow motion and in fast motion to his theme. The last minute with the nearfalls was also good, but the match wasn't long enough to even care. The last match is a preview from the Field of Honor finals wiht BJ Whitmer defeating Matt Stryker. I didn't get what was the point of promoting this finals with an under five minutes match. The match had no heat and interest. BJ did some cool suplexes for some nearfalls, but the bad ending with Whitmer shoving Stryker off the top ropes when he tried his running belly to belly suplex was too much. After that all the people is worried for Stryker, but Whitmer drags him hits the Wrist Clutch Exploder and wins the match. What was the point with it, nobody is more interested for the Field of Honor after this. And having Punk being beaten like that after defeating Raven on the previous show was a bad decision. I didn't like it."

[4.0] "ROH doesn't have a very good track record with gauntlet matches. The crowd was already dead after the last match, and their silence here made this feel even longer than it already was. Punk's matches were the best part (ignoring the extremely questionable moment where Punk hit the Pepsi Plunge with a damaged knee despite it being the first match in a gauntlet), but nothing more than 'fine', and everything after that was completely lifeless. It wasn't awful, but it was definitely boring and sorely lacking in energy."
