[9.0] "Regal aged like fine wine! and this match with Chris hero shows us that, very good wrestling between two experienced wrestlers (****1/4)"

[8.0] "This was a great match. This wasn't a match about doing high spots, or hitting big move after big move. This was a fight and a master class in storytelling. In his last year as a wrestler, William Regal gave everything he had into his matches. He knew he couldn't do some of the things he did when he was younger, but his selling was great, with a glazed eye look as he was being pummeled. Kassius Ohno also was great at selling, with him unable to lock in his submission hold due to Regal's work on his fingers. Regal looked like he was about to go down, but as Ohno was about to deliver the final blow, Regal caught him out of nowhere and was able to hit the running knee for the win. I liked how Regal sold it as he barely won, having just endured a fight. This was great stuff. ****"

[8.0] "This was certainly a slow burner and I was starting to feel disappointing that this pairing of two of my favourites wasn't matching like I'd have hoped, but I was completely enamoured by Regal's selling of his loss of balance by the time this match had reached its crescendo. From the glazed over looked in his eyes to his wobbly feet, the guy knows how to sell with his whole body. Ohno is also a master seller in his own right, with him making sure that the camera got a great look of his damaged hand and anguished face. Much like myself, the crowd seemed to be bored for the earlier parts of the match while Regal and Ohno find their groove. They were completely invested by the end, with them reacting to everything shot Regal would take to the head."

[8.0] "This was a nasty match. Regal was amazing in this with his offense, selling and expressions. The work was tight and brutal and there was attention to detail. Regal torturing Hero by damaging his fingers was hard to watch. Hero sold brilliantly and it affected his submission holds. Both were hitting stiff strikes as well. Regal with his punches and Hero with his boots and elbows. Hero was laying in vicious kicks on Regal's head. The finish with Regal countering Hero's elbow with one of his own and finishing him off with the knee strike was great. 8.30"

[10.0] "The match starts with Regal trying to be better man using submissions and treaks that he knows and great job that worked . As the match goes further kassious gets back in the match using hard hits and rings weapon such as the Ropes and ... and he is able to do his job too. As he said before the match he doesn't want to be Regal and he's bringing that sentence in the match as he uses hard hits and more moves than Regal. He even uses submissions less. But when Regal gets back in the match he tries everything he can and he knows to take on Ohno as he works painfully on his fingers. And at the end he proves he's still alive and he earned the respect that he deserved"

Very brutal at times, in particular the work by Regal on Ohno's arms, trying to dislocate them. Amazing work. Regal turning back the clock. ****1/2"

[5.0] "This seemed like a match designed to work around Regal's age and lack of mobility. The storytelling was fine throughout, Regal trying to punish Ohno with holds and dislocating his fingers while Ohno tries to gain the upper hand by disorienting Regal with kicks to the head, but not doing enough to have it pay off. Nothing overly impressive as a wrestling match, but I suppose it was what it needed to be."

[10.0] "Chris Hero's WWE short was short, and for many, very disappointing. But he did manage to have one helluva match vs. William Regal - one of the best matches in the company's history, actually. This was just so, so, so great. First you got Regal proving that he is still as violent & brutal as he used to be - which was perfect storytelling. He controls Hero in such a brutal way, I absolutely loved it. Then it's Hero's turn to do some work over Regal, and he does a tremendous job targeting his head w/ his nasty strikes. Regal's selling was absolutely amazing. It's a shame that they didn't have more matches against each other, because this was a classic. ****3/4"

[9.0] "Simple but brutal. Reminiscent of Regal's matches with Finlay in WCW. That these two could produce something so captivating with a relatively minimal move count suggests that WWE really have dropped the ball on Chris Hero and that Regal still has gas in the tank for a final title run or big feud. Brilliant."
